Tom Cruise being awarded an Honorary Academy Award was one of the biggest stories of the week – especially since he was spotted chatting up Sydney Sweeney at the gala. Loyal readers will already know that Tom has the hots for the White Lotus actress, and is on the prowl for a girlfriend now that his fling with Ana de Armas is over.  We can tell you this update.  Days after the Academy gala Tom bombarded Sydney with flowers and is working overtime trying to romance her.  My source says Tom even wants Sydney to audition for an upcoming movie he’s producing.

The death of former Vice President Dick Cheney was newsworthy and here’s what we know.  President Donald Trump has yet to acknowledge the passing since Cheney didn’t endorse him in the 2024 election – instead choosing to back former Vice President Kamala Harris. Well, just because ill mannered Trump didn’t do the right thing, doesn’t mean First Lady Melania didn’t.  My source says that Melania went behind her husband’s back and arranged to have a floral arrangement sent to the Cheney family.  As my source adds, Melania knows her husband has poor manners, but she was raised to be respectful and does what she wants in these situations.

Speaking of Donald Trump, he made the news ( surprise surprise) for signing the bill to release the Epstein files.  My well placed D.C. source says don’t be too surprised if the files are more whitewashed than the membership at Trump’s country club Mar a Lago. My source adds that a very redacted version will be released and Trump is betting that the entire scandal goes away.  Here’s how my source predicts Trump is planning to explain why the entire file can’t be released publicly.  Two words… NATIONAL SECURITY.  My source says that the secret plan is for Trump to say it would threaten our nation’s security by releasing everything.  Long story short, this story is FAR from over.

Country star Jelly Roll made headlines for shaving his beard which he’s sported for over 10 years.  My source tells me that the singer (who recently lost over 200 pounds) is SO happy with his new clean cut appearance that he’s now contemplating getting his facial tattoos removed.  When he was obese, the beard and the face tattoos were a distraction from the fat, but now that he’s getting fit he wants a more respectable image. And his slim face is kinda good looking!

Kevin Spacey made headlines when he revealed he’s broke and pretty much homeless living in Airbnbs and hotels.  Kevin spent millions defending himself against sexual abuse charges, and even though he was acquitted, the trials cost him everything.  Here’s what we know.  Kevin is planning to raise some income by writing a tell-all book about his life, his career, and all of those disproven charges that were levied against him.    My source says he’s hoping the tell-all is the next step to earning Hollywood’s forgiveness for his inappropriate, but not illegal, behavior.

Ariana Grande made headlines when she announced that she’s planning one last tour before retiring from hitting the road.  Here’s what we know.  Ariana’s farewell tour will be worldwide with stops on almost every continent, and it will all happen next year.  She’s also secretly planning to release a new album to coincide with the tour and is taking a page out of Taylor Swift’s playbook: she will turn the concert into a big screen movie.

Meghan Markle made headlines when she was photographed crying inside a Montecito, California store and the tabloids went crazy with the story claiming she was sobbing over her marital woes with Prince Harry.  Here’s what we know.  Those stories were fake news and the real reason Meghan was sobbing is because she just found out a loved one (we aren’t saying who) was diagnosed with a disease (and we aren’t saying what).  My source says that although no marriage is perfect, Harry and Meg are doing just fine and her tears were only in response to the bad news she just heard on the phone moments before.
