We walked into screening of “Fading Gigolo” with hopeful expectations – and they were realized. It’s ALMOST a Woody Allen movie. Call it “Woody Allen light.” Woody, who is an actor in the movie, must have had some input when it comes to his own dialog because his character was exceptionally funny, It’s John Turturro’s film, but he is obviously influenced by Woody’s sense of humor in the best possible way. It’s light and sweet and fun and Vanessa Paradis plays a Hasidic woman in a brown wig!

  1. Wow! With that kind of keen intellectual observation, wit and insight, I don’t know how you never wound up being a professional film critic.

    That. Was. Sarcasm.

  2. The words “Woody Allen” and “touch” make me want to puke.

  3. “Vanessa Paradis plays a Hasidic woman”. Yes it is relevant to showcase Jews which make up a minute percentage of the Jewish population. Pass the gefilte fish!

  4. I used to love Woody Allen’s movies, I refuse to give this known pedophile any of my money now.

  5. If we judged all authors, filmmakers, painters, photographers, dancers, choreographers, poets, musicians (especially) sculptors, pottors, weavers, silversmiths, playwrights, actors etc. etc. etc. by their personal lives we’d never enjoy any kind of artistic expression others have to offer. And, especially, no one would ever go to a church again — let’s not leave the ministers out of it.

  6. Saw Blue Jasmine a second time, and it was excellent in a different kind of way from seeing it the first time.

And, yes, I agree that Woody Allen is a special kind of creep.
