ZOMBIE BOY RICK GENEST ON THE CATWALK IN PARIS

Here’s another unique male model that turned up for Fashion Week in Paris. Rick Genest, aka “Zombie Boy,” has all-over face and skeletal body tattoos. Every inch of his body is covered. The Montreal born model was a sensation when he appeared in Thierry Mugler’s fashion show in Paris and beautiful girls were waiting in line to have their pictures taken with him. He also appeared in Lady Gaga’s video ”Born Like This.” Rick told WWD “When I was a kid I fell in love with zombies and wanted to be one.” No kidding.

Nobody was more excited than Lady Gaga when she made her debut as a runway model in Thierry Mugler’s Paris fashion show. Gaga’s brilliant stylist and fashion director Nicola Formichetti, who is responsible for Gaga’s innovative look, designed the new collection for the Mugler label. Gaga provided the music and walked the catwalk. She introduced her track “Government Hooker “ from her “Born This Way” CD. Note that most of the fashions look like they came right out of Gaga’s closet. After the show, lady Gaga pulled on her leopard catsuit, and went to Maxim’s for dinner.

THIERRY MUGLER – IS THAT YOU?

thierry2cutHaving been fashion obsessed for decades, we were astonished when we saw a recent photo of French designer Thierry Mugler at The WOW Report. The once tall, slim ballet dancer-looking designer is now a GARGANTUAN muscleman. A friend of his told us that when he stopped doing collections some years back, he decided to “reinvent himself” and “change his whole persona.” Thierry, 59, spends five hours a day pumping iron and has packed on around 75 pounds of muscle – certainly with the help of supplements. Nowadays, he wears mostly custom tailored sweats and t shirts- when he has clothes on at all. Oh, and he now goes by the name Manfred. Despite these idiosyncrasies, we were relieved to hear that one thing hasn’t changed – Mugler, according to friends, is still a “sweet, charming, generous gentleman.”
