Portia de Rossi

ELLEN’S WIFE PORTIA DE ROSSI IS THRILLED TO BE AN AMERICAN

Ellen DeGeneres’ wife Portia de Rossi, 38, is now an American citizen. Portia, who was born Amanda Lee Rogers in Australia, has been acting in this country for 16 years. A spy reported to us that Portia was at a swearing in ceremony this week at the courthouse on Spring Street in front of a judge. Naturally she stood out in the crowd – “She looked beautiful in a black dress and pumps and a huge ring.” She was friendly and posed for photos with other new citizens. When someone congratulated her on her naturalization, she quipped “Thank you – but it didn’t happen because of my marriage!” (And it probably SHOULD have!)

ELLEN DEGENERES LIVES BETTER THAN KINGS AND PRESIDENTS

It’s hard to imagine, but Ellen DeGeneres lives in almost unbelievable luxury. But she’s fickle – after only four years of perfecting her surroundings, she has put her Beverly Hills house on the market for 60 million dollars. Ellen bought the 12,000 square foot main house in 2007 for 29 million dollars, and it seems to have EVERY luxury imaginable. In 2008 she paid 8.5 million for the house that shared her driveway and promptly bulldozed it to expand her views. That same year she bought another neighboring house for 5 million, and a month later she bought a fourth house for 5.5 million that overlooked her pool area “for privacy” so Portia can sunbathe topless. Did Ellen FINALLY have her “dream house?” Apparently not. She put the main house up for sale for 49 million and the whole compound for 60 million. A bargain. ELLEN DEGENERES LIKES HAVING PORTIA AROUND THE HOUSE

ellencutportiaweb%233BFFF1.jpgEllen Degeneres’ relationship with Portia de Rossi is not as perfect as it used to be. While neither is cheating or anything like that, a friend of the couple says Portia is getting BORED. Her show Arrested Development went off the air last year and Ellen didn’t want her to work – she loves having her available. For awhile, being a lady of leisure was fun, but shopping every day started to get old for Portia. She wants her career back! Ellen’s trying to talk her out of it, and there’s some friction, but they’re trying to come to terms with this.
