This photo makes us want to tear our hair out because it illustrates how much influence the overbearing Kardashians have had on the world of makeup. Christina Aguilera has a perfectly nice face but when she appeared at a red carpet event for The Voice this week she looked like THIS. The hair is cool, but she’s PAINTED and shaded within an inch of her life! How far is the artificial look going to go? Those heavy false eyelashes – everything looks drawn on. What happened to “the natural look?” The Kardashians seem to have made caked-on makeup okay.

Wow. Michelle Rodriguez really surprises us sometimes- she showed up at the Furious 7 premier looking gorgeous in a Vivienne Westwood dress. The best part is – she looks quite natural, no heavy makeup, spidery false eyelashes, or gooey lipgloss. The grossly overpainted look of the Real Housewives and the Kardashians almost made us forget how appealing a natural look is. Michelle, 36, has a lot of security thanks to the Furious movies, but the Avatar actress still struggles to find strong roles for women.

Imagine that! Taylor Swift is being called out for primping at her gym! Since moving to New York, Taylor has been working out almost every day at modelFIT Gym near her home. Another gym member thinks that after her workout, Taylor spends an inordinate amount of time doing her hair and makeup and reported to The Daily News. Of course, the singer walks out looking like a million bucks. Is that a crime or something to be ashamed of? We think not. Taylor is pursued by paparazzi every day and does she whine and fuss about it? No – she gives them a smile.

What IS the big deal about the white powder on Angelina’s cheek? It has been described as an “EPIC DISASTER” and “MAJOR MISHAP” in media outlets too numerous to mention. What’s the big deal? A genuine makeup disaster might be mascara smeared and running down the face a la Courtney Love on a bad day. But a little powder? We DO wonder why Brad didn’t notice and brush the powder away – doesn’t he LOOK at her? We assume Angelina is above all this and has no intention of punishing her makeup artist for an errant powder puff.

But it’s not the REAL Marilyn as people assume – he’s wearing a wig and fake eyebrows. THIS Marilyn resembles a young Lily Tomlin.

And Jennifer, 44, looks as pretty and natural as ever (while Chris is not as blessed.) So, in spite of Jennifer’s history of failed movies, she remains one of the biggest stars in the world and probably the most in-demand tabloid cover girl of all time. In spite of the intrusive photographic demand for her (and the resulting negative criticism from haters,) Jennifer remains polite and kind. She is, in fact, one of the nicest celebrities in Hollywood. So don’t hate her because she’s lucky.

It’s nice to see Christina Aguilera, 31, without the kisser full of makeup that she usually sports, but the overall picture isn’t that great. When she finished “Burlesque” observers predicted she might have some kind of movie career, but nothing has happened. Partly because she just doesn’t care enough to be careful what she eats and drinks. Between tapings of “The Voice” she seems to let herself go. In the above photos she was running errands in the Valley, wearing sweats and a hat, hoping NOT to be recognized. But that platinum hair is a dead giveaway.

After a hard night of partying, Lindsay Lohan left Chateau Marmont behind the wheel of her Porsche while puffing on the ever- present cigarette. We can’t help but comment on how heavy-handed she’s getting with her makeup application. She looks like a much older woman. Could be she’s influenced by the movie she’s now filming, “The Canyons.” Her hard-boiled character has nude scenes with porn star James Deen and the movie is described as a “an independent low budget noir thriller.”
