Groundhog Day

ANDIE MACDOWELL IS WALKING WITH HER BEST FRIENDS

Five years ago, Groundhog Day star Andie Macdowell sold her South Carolina property and moved lock stock and barrel to Los Angeles to be closer to her two daughters. It turns out, Andie liked it here SO much that she’s bought several properties and she’s now living in the Hollywood Hills. Her lucky daughters Rainey, 30, and Margaret, 25, inherited those model genes (dad Paul Qualley was a model too.) The girls are both getting work as actors and Margaret hit the lottery when she got a part in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. You can see Margaret in Seberg with Kristen Stewart on Netflix right now. As for Andie, she’s single and ready to mingle…

HAROLD RAMIS’S BRILLIANT “GROUNDHOG DAY” IS A CLASSIC

1993, GROUNDHOG DAY

Not only did Harold Ramis come from Chicago, our home town, but he was responsible for one of our favorite movies of all time – Groundhog Day. Described as a “philosophical comedy” – it gave Bill Murray perhaps the best role of his lifetime. Who could ever forget Murray’s unlikeable character waking up EVERY morning to his clock radio playing Sonny & Cher’s “I Got You Babe” and reliving the day before? And the day repeated until he got it right. Harold Ramis was one of those rare smart AND funny comedy writers, and he will be missed. (Above, Bill Murray and Andie MacDowell)

Heads turn when “Groundhog Day” star Andie MacDowell walks down the street, but when she walks with her daughters, traffic stops! It appears that Andie’s girls Rainey, 21, (photo left) and Sarah, 16 (photo right) are using their inherited good looks to follow in their mother and father’s model footsteps. (Dad is model Paul Qualley) Rainey is also writing songs and studying acting. The threesome looked fresh while shopping in Soho despite the blistering heat.
