GWEN STEFANI AND HER MODERN FAMILY

Despite a few bumps in the road, Gwen Stefani’s marriage to Gavin Rossdale still seems almost ideal. The National Enquirer reported that she had a miscarriage a few months ago and she was hoping for a little girl. Judging by all their happy family outings, another child would have a great life. If Gwen doesn’t give birth, maybe the Rossdales will adopt. Above, the family plays in a Beverly Hills park and they take a look at puppies up for adoption.

GORDON RAMSAY’S WIFE COULD STAND THE HEAT

Gordon Ramsay’s family looks like the picture of happiness (above at the Teen Choice Awards) but it wasn’t too long ago that his pretty wife Tana found out he had been cheating with another woman for seven years. It was luridly publicized in the London papers and very embarrassing for all concerned. Somehow, the temperamental chef managed to keep his family together and one would never guess what they’ve been through. He must be doing something right.

BRET MICHAELS HAS RECOVERED FROM HIS MULTITUDE OF AILMENTS

Bret Michaels looks perfectly happy and healthy in New York with his kids Raine, 10, (the one that turned out NOT to have diabetes) and Jorja, 5, along with their mother Kristi Lynn Gibson. Brett and Kristi have been off an on for years – right now they’re definitely ON, but have no plans to wed. We wonder how Kristi felt while Bret was romancing those skanky groupies on “Rock of Love.” We still think Bret stole the Celebrity Apprentice title from more deserving Holly Robinson just by drumming up sympathy for his “illnesses.”

REALITY BITES: THE ETHAN HAWKE FAMILY IN NEW YORK

It’s a family day in New York for Ethan Hawke, 39, and his kids Maya, 12, and Levon, 8, (from his marriage to Uma Thurman.) He’s holding his new baby Clementine with his current wife Ryan Shawnhughes, whom he married two years ago. (She was his children’s nanny.) Ethan, who was brilliant in “Training Day,” may look like a suburban dad, but he’s working steadily – besides the TV movie “Moby Dick” coming out this year, he has four other films in production.

AMY WINEHOUSE’S FAMILY APPROVES OF THE NEW BOYFRIEND

Amy Winehouse has taken the bold step of introducing her new boyfriend Reg Traviss to her parents! Naturally they could barely contain their joy at the prospect of their daughter dating a successful looking man in a suit and tie. Amy’s father Mitch was performing at a jazz club in London (well SOMEBODY in the family might as well perform) and Amy actually got up and joined him. (In the photo left to right: Mitch, Amy, Reg, stepmother Jane and Amy’s mom Janis in the back) Amy’s father commented later on Reg: “He’s a nice chap – we’ll see how it goes…” Seeing Amy’s leopard bag on the table reminds us: whatever happened to the line of accessories she was supposed to be coming out with?

CHILD STAR MAYIM BIALIK GREW UP TO BE A BETTER THAN NORMAL PERSON

It’s always fun to catch up with child actors. Mayim Bialik, 34, starred on the 90’s sitcom “Blossom” but she came from a close family and never had the problems a lot of kid actors have. You may recall she went on to earn a PHD from UCLA in neuroscience. Last year we saw her improve her drab wardrobe on “What NOT to Wear,” and she’s also appeared a few times on “The Big Bang Theory.” Above, the seemingly well-adjusted Mayim is at an LA farmer’s market with her husband Michael Stone and their sons Miles and Frederick.
