REESE WITHERSPOON’S DIVORCE IS NO SURPRISE TO FRIENDS

What went wrong? Reese Witherspoon and her husband Jim Toth made headlines when they announced they were divorcing after 11 years of marriage, but a friend of the couple reveals this was no surprise to their inner circle. Nothing nefarious was going on – the insider says this was just a case of Reese wanting MORE and Jim wanting LESS- of Hollywood! Reese’s career is red hot as both an actress AND a producer, thanks to Big Little Lies and The Morning Show. She’s far busier now than when she first met Jim. For his part, Jim’s career as an agent is no longer his top priority and he wanted to enjoy his golden years away from Hollywood. Friends have watched Reese and Jim growing apart for a few years and the couple finally admitted they just want different things.

WILL NOW-SINGLE ANDREW SHUE RETURN TO MELROSE PLACE?

Andrew Shue could use some good news and he might have just gotten some. EVERYONE knows Andrew is nursing a broken heart over his split from his wife, GMA host, Amy Robach. They were barely separated when she immediately rebounded with her co-anchor T.J. Holmes. His marriage may be over, but Andrew’s career might be getting a huge boost – he’s been tapped to lead the return of his hit 1990’s series, Melrose Place. The show had a short lived reboot in 2009 without the original cast, but this time around producers want to bring back as many of the ORIGINAL stars as possible, including Andrew and Heather Locklear among others. This could be the best thing to keep Andrew’s mind off of his romance woes.

SOME WOMEN ARE EASIER TO DIVORCE THAN OTHERS

Emily Ratajkowski’s estranged husband Sebastian Bear-McClard, whom she is divorcing after she caught him cheating, had a chance to spend some time with his son Sylvester this week. The baby already looks a lot like his dad. Note that the nanny is also there, and keeping an eye on things. Sebastian is probably not enjoying the fact that popular Emily is constantly followed by paparazzi and being linked to new guys – like Brad Pitt and most recently, Pete Davidson. Her highly publicized love life will probably haunt him for quite awhile…

WHAT DID BRAD PITT LEARN FROM JOHNNY DEPP?

We’ve always been Team Brad when discussing the Angelina Jolie-Brad Pitt divorce. As of now, they are both legally single, but not yet divorced- in fact, the divorce has gone on 3 times as long as their two year marriage! It may never end. They keep dragging each other into court for one thing or another- custody of the fast-growing kids, the French winery etc. Angelina is constantly -and deliberately- photographed on outings with each child, appearing to be a devoted mother, as she insists that Brad abused her and his children. We were startled to learn that Brad has the SAME powerful PR team used by Johnny Depp to save HIS reputation. Granted, we appreciate that Brad has never said a negative word about Angelina, but he might have something to hide if he hired those PR people…

IS EMILY RATAJKOWSKI GETTING EVEN?

SOME Hollywood divorces are not destined to be friendly – or for that matter, easy. It’s clear that model Emily Ratajkowski was flabbergasted when she found out that her husband Sebastian Bear McClard was apparently guilty of cheating and other unsavory activities, and she filed for divorce. Very subtly, she’s been “punishing” him ever since. Seems like every day we see new paparazzi photos of her all dolled up and looking fabulous. Your read here about her wisecrack that her husband “thought he was a 10 because he pulled her- but she happens to like UGLY men.” NOW the rumors about Emily and Brad Pitt are swirling, but keep in mind Brad’s relationships with women have been strictly undercover during his divorce. SOMEBODY is spreading these rumors- (which no one is denying) WHO could it be?

KENAN THOMPSON: NO HARD FEELINGS – REALLY?

Nice to hear that there are civilized divorces happening these days – even in Hollywood. SNL’s Kenan Thompson is a prime example. He and his wife Christina Evangeline actually separated a few years ago, and finally filed for divorce in April- without malice. After 14 years together they just “grew apart” and remain on good terms- they co-parent and spend holidays together with their two daughters. Kenan REALLY proved his good intentions when his estranged wife started dating his SNL costar Chris Redd. (Chris also just costarred with Thompson on his ill-fated series Kenan for 2 seasons!) It’s hard to imagine a man not being disturbed by his wife dating his good friend, but so far Kenan is living up to his nice-guy image…

Model Emily Ratajkowski’s devotion to her husband of four years, producer Sebastian Bear-McClard, 41, was always a bit of a mystery because she seemed to be way out of his league. But when she accused him of cheating and other unsavory activities, she was quick to file for divorce. So we HAD to laugh when she posted on TikTok a line obviously referring to her estranged husband: “When he thinks he’s a 10 because he pulled you, but you like ugly men.”

SYLVESTER STALLONE: CAN THIS MARRIAGE BE SAVED?

Quite suddenly, Sylvester Stallone has a new bed partner. His wife Jennifer Flavin filed for divorce after Sly brought home a Rottweiler named Dwight. Although Dwight has had professional training, Jennifer was NOT happy with Sly’s fierce and macho dog. She already has three small fluffy pups (above) and she’s justifiably terrified that Dwight might hurt them. Jennifer is SO attached to her dogs that she captioned their photo “my children’s replacement.” (Her three cute daughters are grown up now and pretty much out of the house.) Apparently Dwight was the last straw for the Stallone’s 25 year marriage. The pooch is now free to share Sly’s bed and Jennifer no longer has to endure Sly’s cigar smoke or being asked not to wear high heels…

Little did we know that Robert De Niro has had a low-key girlfriend for the past few years. The 78 year old actor had a tumultuous split from his wife Grace Hightower back in 2018. Afterward, he griped that he was forced to take every job offered to pay for his ex’s penchant for expensive clothes and diamond rings. (That explains some of those B movies he’s done) Back in 2015 he met Tiffany Chen when he filmed The Intern- she taught him Tai Chi on the set. Tiffany is an award winning martial arts instructor. Their friendship has quietly developed into a romance – she has been his constant companion of late. No nonsense Tiffany is quite the opposite of his ex Grace – no diamonds or designer labels…

SEAN PENN’S EX-WIFE IS IN ITALY WITH HER FAMOUS FATHER

Okay, this photo puts a lot of pieces together. It’s Law & Order actor Vincent D’Onofrio and his cute daughter, actress Leila George (her mother is Italian born actress Greta Scacci), together in Venice, Italy. Leila is the over 30 years younger wife who filed for divorce from Sean Penn, but keeps changing her mind. Finally the divorce was finalized in April, but they were seen out to dinner in NYC earlier this week. Leila and Sean have social activism and environmentalism in common so their relationship might continue but in a different way. She is not the first of Sean’s wives to file for divorce and change her mind a few times…
