Seems like only yesterday this zany actor was running scared in the Scream movies or wrestling on TV – now he’s playing a put-upon businessman in “On Sacred Ground,” – described as a social impact drama. David Arquette, AKA Courtney Cox’s ex-husband, looks like he’s still in character as the businessman at the movie’s LA premier. He also looks a lot more conservative than he does as proprietor at the Hollywood nightclub Bootsy Bellows…

David Arquette turned up at the premier of Lansky looking like a slightly shady businessman, and not the “pro-wrestler” that he’s been calling himself lately. In fact, David has officially retired from wrestling just in time to promote his new Scream 5 movie. It was debatable whether Scream 5 would ever make it to the screen because director Wes Craven died and producer Harvey Weinstein went to prison. But somehow they managed to pull it together during the pandemic, and the original stars -David, Courteney Cox, Neve Campbell, etc, came back and Jack Quaid (Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid’s son) has been added. Scream 5 is coming out this January. Meanwhile, the nightclub David co-owns, Bootsy Bellows, is gearing up for a hot summer.

David Arquette, 48, has always been an adventurous dresser, and today he took a trip down memory lane back to the punk 80’s. He’s wearing plaid bondage pants (we don’t see enough of those!) two-tone creeper platform shoes, and a Versace inspired jacket. He looks like he’s dressed for a night at his club Bootsy Bellows, rather than breakfast with friends. Somebody should advise him to ditch the grey beard – or at least cover it up with a mask!

Coco Arquette,10, is BURSTING with happiness as she and her mom Courteney Cox and her boyfriend Johnny McDaid leave after a shopping spree at Barneys in Beverly Hills. Coco is wearing some high platform shoes and Courteney and Johnny are keeping an eye on her to make sure she doesn’t trip and fall. Coco has a new little half brother Charlie born last spring to her father David Arquette and his girlfriend Christina McLarty. Both families seem to get along.

Were WE surprised to find out that David Arquette just bought a 7 million dollar, 9,708 sq ft house in the fancy Windsor Square area of Los Angeles, according to The Real Estalker in Variety. David’s ex wife Courteney Cox is always buying and flipping expensive houses, but we figured after they split David would be living a more realistic life. But apparently he’s doing VERY well. After divorce and rehab, the Scream actor got involved in wrestling and running nightclubs. SOMETHING paid off. He also had a baby boy Charlie with his girlfriend Christina McLarty. Now the eccentric David is moving into a very staid and formal house in and old and beautiful LA neighborhood. Who would have guessed?
David Arquette and Courteney Cox want to make sure that their little girl Coco doesn’t feel left out now that mommy’s got a new boyfriend (Johnny McDaid) and David’s girlfriend Christine McLarty is expecting a baby boy. They got together to prepare for Coco’s tenth birthday and stopped by the Marc Jacobs store to do some shopping. Coco, in the purple dress, was wearing a little bit of lipstick and she danced to the music inside the store.

We absolutely LOVE the fact that David Arquette has dedicated his new Hollywood club to his late mother Mardi, who was a burlesque dancer early in her life. Not only did he name the place “Bootsy Bellows” after her pin-up name, but he plastered the place with photos of her in her 1960’s heyday. Naughty vintage magazine covers, bondage and topless photos- the works – reminiscent of Bettie Page. David told the Hollywood Reporter that she eventually settled down and went on to become a marriage and family counselor. “This is a way of honoring her youth!”

Courtney Cox has become the biggest house-flipper in Hollywood. HGTV would give her a show in a minute. She comes from a family of contractors so that gave Courtney leverage when she started buying and fixing up smaller homes early in her career. Now she’s in the top league – she purchases significant architectural homes – many of them mid-century- and updates them without spoiling their original beauty and purpose. Back in 2006, she and David Arquette paid 5.5 million for this exquisite 1959 A Quincy Jones design in Trousdale Estates. It has 3 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, in 5000 sq ft with a round pool. We’d like to know what she did to it because she put it on the market for 20 million, and just sold it.

Much has been made of David Arquette finding a new love and now his estranged wife Courteney Cox has started dating a new man. She’s keeping him totally under wraps for the time being, according to an acquaintance – maybe that’s why we haven’t seen her around lately. She’s been quietly seeing a “mystery man” described as “a jock – an athletic type” for the past few months. Diplomatic Courteney has no plans to reveal her new guy until she feels quite secure in the relationship.

SOMEBODY looks really happy sharing a New Year’s kiss. David Arquette and girlfriend Christina McLarty are still in sync while window shopping on Melrose Avenue. It’s been a tough year for David – he went into rehab last January but he’s been sober ever since. Since he met Christina he has been better equipped to accept his separation from Courteney Cox. All’s well that ends well.
