Newly single Charlize Theron, 37, looked gorgeous and available at the MTV Movie Awards, but she didn’t give Russell Brand a tumble. Host Russell, also 37, joked onstage that he was looking for love – he and his estranged wife Katy Perry originally hooked up at the awards two years ago. Charlize caught his eye backstage he attempted to draw her into a conversation. Brand turned on the charm that worked so well on Katy. Charlize was polite but didn’t seem particularly impressed and cut the conversation short. Odd – she usually likes English guys.

When we glanced at the top photo the first time we could have sworn the blonde person on the right was casually dressed Charlize Theron. But it turns out that pretty face belongs to Vanessa Hudgens’ 20 year old boyfriend Austin Butler. For real. He has a starring role on the now filming “Carrie Diaries.” The happy couple was shopping at Planet Blue in Beverly Hills and left through the alley with lots of bags. But he wasn’t carrying them all.

We can’t help but notice that Charlize Theron is seated next to Prince Carl Philip of Sweden at the Germany VS Argentina World Cup soccer game in Capetown, South Africa (Charlize’s home town.) Charlize is currently single and the athletic Prince (who is considered a “hot young royal” by Forbes magazine) was last seen dating a Swedish “glamour model.” We wonder if he will take advantage of their proximity and strike up a friendship with the beautiful actress. If their body language is any indication, it’s not gonna happen!

Let’s examine that kiss that Keanu Reeves laid on Charlize Theron last night as they were leaving Bouchon restaurant in Beverly Hills. (They got into separate cars.) Is it a romance? Both are single now, so it could go either way, but they HAVE been friends since they filmed “Sweet November” together in 2001. “The Devil’s Advocate” followed that. The fact that they arrived separately and actually kissed in a place where they could be SEEN, indicates a mere friendship. But the fact that Charlize slid her hands UNDER Keanu’s coat when the smack took place, indicates that they are VERY friendly. It could go either way.

Now that she’s single again, Charlize Theron has NEVER looked better. (Above in Paris) After nine years of togetherness, but no marriage, to Stuart Townsend, she’s available. They were a very devoted couple but avoided matrimony. Maybe she was right about NOT getting married because it was easier to split up with no legal ties. Charlize Theron is pictured her at her beach house, urging her reluctant doggy to run on the sand and play fetch with her boyfriend Stuart Townsend. She appears fully recovered from the nasty stomach virus that landed her in Cedars Sinai hospital for four days last week. Docs told her she probably picked up the virus on her overseas travels. Stuart admitted he was really scared because Charlize “never complains.”
