SETH GREEN AND CLARE GRANT: BEAUTY AND THE BEAST?

At 5’4″, Robot Chicken creator Seth Green is more of a pipsqueak than a beast (even with the beard,) but he and his actress wife Clare Grant are a pair of opposites looks-wise. But the couple, who married in 2010, have a lot in common. They work on comedy projects together and both love In-N-Out burgers, comic books, and the same movies, and most important of all, they have FUN together.

THE REAL STORY OF “BEAUTY AND THE BEAST” IS NOT SO PRETTY

We walked out of a screening of the opulent Beauty and the Beast wondering about the fairy tale’s history. It turns out the REAL story of Beauty and the Beast, which evolved into the Disney movie, is WAY more interesting than the fantasy version! (Not as pretty, though.) In 1537, a man named Petrus Gonsalvus was born in Spain’s Canary Islands suffering from the rare disease, hypertrichosis, (werewolf syndrome) that causes copious amounts of hair to grow on the face and body. He was a curiosity and treated like an animal – kept in a cage and fed raw meat as a child. At the age of ten he was shipped to King Henry II of France as a gift. The king was fascinated by the child and decided to try an experiment. He began educating the hairy child and treating him like a human. Petrus eventually had the upbringing and education of a nobleman and spoke three languages, and he was nicely dressed, yet he was still considered to be an “animal.” When the king died, his widow decided to conduct her own experiment – she wondered what would happen if the beast married a pretty woman. Would their children be little beasts? She found him a wife and they had seven children – four were afflicted with the genetic disease. The king’s widow was thrilled to have created a wild family. The beast and his wife and afflicted children toured European countries – eventually the hairy children were given away as gifts to entertain royalty! Not a happy ending like the Disney version…

TWO REASONS WHY CELINE DION DIDN’T MAKE THE FORBES TOP EARNING WOMEN IN MUSIC LIST

Celine Dion brought her family backstage to visit the cast of “Beauty and the Beast” in Las Vegas where she too is currently performing at Caesar’s Palace. Her twins Eddy and Nelson are one and a half and they look more like her 11 year old son Rene and her husband every day. According to the LA Times, Celine was the top earning woman in music for the decade ending in 2010, but she didn’t make the top ten this year according to Forbes. That’s what happens when you take time off to raise babies. Don’t worry, she still has plenty of money to buy shoes…

LINDA HAMILTON HAS A CULT FOLLOWING

It’s been awhile since we’ve seen “Beauty and the Beast” series star Linda Hamilton and we didn’t recognize her at first. Linda, 52, was snapped selling autographed photos at the Fan Expo on Toronto. Celebrities can make thousands of dollars a day in cash doing that, although The Terminator star probably doesn’t need the money. She married well. When she divorced “Titanic” director James Cameron in 1999, she supposedly got a fifty million dollar settlement.

All we know is, we can’t get enough of looking at Ice-T and his wife Coco whenever they go out in public. Last night they had dinner at Koi in West Hollywood and all eyes were upon them. We can just imagine observers speculating: what goes on behind closed door at the Ice-T house? And they’re about to find out. Brace yourself – the pair is putting together a reality show called Beauty and the Beast that starts filming any minute. Maybe this dinner is part of it.
