IF THIS MAN ISN’T WHITE, WHAT IS HE?

Photo: ABC

How surprised we were to read a headline in The Hollywood Reporter that trumpeted “ABC NAMES FIRST NON –WHITE BACHELOR” with THIS photo underneath! The next bachelor was identified as Juan Pablo Galavis, 32, a former soccer player from Venezuela. Excuse us, but is this blondish blue- eyed man NOT considered white or Caucasian? When did this happen? It’s pretty fascinating. Do you suppose this is a surprise to Juan? If this isn’t a white man, apparently we don’t know what is.

  1. He is Hispanic, which can be considered either way I guess. Whatever suits the situation I guess.

  2. Being Latin, I can tell he’s Latin, but it looks like they went out if their way to find the most white looking Latin they could find.

It’s ok, the white world will continue to rule for another 20-25 years but the world is changing everyday and soon it will be led by the children born of interracial couplings.

  3. Hispanic or Latin is an ethnicity, not a race, and they are white or caucasian.

  4. That being said, you can be a black Hispanic or White Hispanic.

  5. Hispanics are Caucasian, we are NOT a Race. We are white. So please stop being ignorant. And the gentleman looks white because he is!

  6. ONCE AGAIN AMERICANS PROVE HOW IMBECILE THEY ARE, BEING UNABLE TO MAKE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RACE AND ETHNICITY. TO THEM, LATINOS ARE DARK SKINNED AND SLEAZY LOOKING. WELL, I HAVE NEWS FOR U, NATION OF CRETINS: FRENCH, SPANISH, PORTUGUESE, ROMANIAN, ITALIAN, RHETO ROMAN PPL ARE LATIN/LATINO PPL. LUIS MIGUEL IS LATINO, CARLOS PONCE IS LATINO, GUILLERMO DEL TORO IS LATINO, THALIA IS LATINA, GLORIA ESTEFAN TOO. AND THEY ARE AS WHITE AS THEY CAN BE.

  7. “White Hispanics” are all the rage these Janet haven’t you heard? If he commits a crime he’s “white” but if he does anything noteworthy he’s claimed as hispanic.

  8. Like george zimmeran. He is jew-hispanic. He is considered white, no where hispanic.

  9. I know the difference between race and ethnicity, but like I posted already, people claim different things to suit themselves. I’m 100% Italian, am I white?

  10. This is why we should not be calling each other white, brown, black, red, olive and yellow: because NONE of us are actually those simple colours. Hue has zero relationship with culture, anyway.

  11. My boyfriend is half German and half Puerta Rican and he doesn’t consider himself white. I don’t agree.
