HERE’S WHAT WE KNOW

 

 

Donald Trump’s address to Congress was a big story this week, and it wasn’t so much what he said (a lot of bragging and no real solutions) but what his buddy Elon Musk wore!  We heard that it was Donald who INSISTED Elon wear a suit and tie to the important televised address.  While Trump is still in awe of the world’s sometimes richest man, he IS embarrassed by the way Elon dresses, and laid down the law that he had to dress appropriately for the event.

Meghan Markle made news when her six episode Netflix show, With Love, Meghan finally debuted on March 4.  Meghan delayed it because it was originally scheduled to begin airing during the devastating Los Angeles fires.  Here’s what we know.  Netflix hasn’t announced it yet, but it HAS green-lit season two, and this time it will have an 8 episode arc.  The  streaming network isn’t planning to make any announcements until this spring, but it’s a done deal so Meghan has the last laugh.

Blast from the past, Nadya Suleman AKA Octomom was back in the news thanks to her new biopic on Lifetime, I Was Octomom, which is premiering March 8.  We just heard that Nadya is in the final stages of signing a deal for a reality show on her life now raising the 8 teenagers (they’re 16-years-old.)  While she received numerous offers throughout the years for a reality show, she wanted to wait until her kids were old enough to make a decision as to whether they wanted to appear and now the consensus is they’re all for it!  Once the final deal is signed, the cameras should start rolling by the summer.

Justin Bieber made headlines – for not the best reasons.  First he appeared on social media in a video where he rapped about drugs and then photos of him looking gaunt and tired surfaced.  We just heard that Justin’s wife Hailey Bieber has asked family friend Kris Jenner to take on the role of mother figure and Kris has agreed to play a bigger part is Justin’s life.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner raised a few eyebrows this week when paparazzi photos of them hugging were released.  Here’s what we know.  Ben actually tried to rekindle things with his ex-wife when his marriage to Jennifer Lopez ended, but Jen G. quickly shot that down.  My source says that Jen will always love and care about Ben and do her best to co-parent with him, she has absolutely no intentions of ever getting back with him – and that has nothing to do with the state of her relationship with businessman John Miller.  Long story short, Jen loves Ben but just no longer in that way.

And while we already did our Oscar recap we couldn’t help but share this story. Although expected Best Actress winner Demi Moore didn’t take home the gold ( she lost to Mikey Madison) we just heard that days after the ceremony Demi sent flowers to ALL of the other acting nominees ( 19 of them ) congratulating them on their nominations and calling them all winners.  We heard that while Demi was disappointed she didn’t win, she wanted to end the entire experience on a positive note – which explains her considerate gesture.

ANOTHER KELCE WITH OPINIONS OF HIS OWN

He’s the shy one in the family, but now Ed Kelce is ready to come out of his shell and cash in on the action.  Ed, of course, is the dad of Jason and Travis Kelce, and his ex-wife Donna has become quite the celebrity over the past few years.  From made for TV movies, to commercials, Donna is bringing home the bacon thanks to her newfound fame.  Although he always preferred to stay out of the limelight, Ed has received some offers that are just TOO good to pass up, so don’t be shocked when you see him doing interviews or popping up alongside his famous sons in some upcoming advertisements.

ASAP ROCKY: FROM FELON TO VOGUE MODEL

Seems like only yesterday that ASAP Rocky was accused of gun-related crimes and photographed going in and out of a courtroom looking quite fashionable .  To his great relief, he was found not guilty and released to resume his life. Apparently someone at Vogue magazine appreciated Rocky’s courtroom fashion and when it was over, Vogue hired him for this fashion shoot in New York. Life goes on…

SARAH PAULSON: WAS IT WORTH IT?

Oscar fashion buzz is still not over.  We just saw her for the first time and vote Sarah Paulson as runner-up to Ariana Grande for the most difficult to manage dress at the award show. We would LOVE to have seen Sarah get out of her vehicle at the red carpet in this inflatable frock.  And of course we’d like to know how she managed to sit for three-plus hours in the audience with people all around her. Did Sarah sacrifice a good time for a highly photographable dress? This is definitely a problem that men don’t have…

OSCAR TIDBITS…

In the tradition of our weekly Here’s What We Know feature, we thought it might be fun to do an Oscar recap of what we know.  Tell us what you think…

The shock of the evening was Demi Moore not taking home the gold for her performance in The Substance.  We wish she and Mikey Madison could have both won!  Even though Demi didn’t win the Oscar, her daughters surprised her the next day with their own award.  Just heard they gave her a custom Jennifer Meyer (she’s a jewelry designer and a friend of Demi’s) gold and diamond charm bracelet which says Best Mom.

Although the reviews were mixed (but aren’t they always!) the powers that be were so impressed with Conan O’Brien’s emceeing that they have already asked him back for next year.  Don’t expect any announcement just yet,  but unless something drastic happens, the job is his if he wants it.

Adrien Brody made headlines when he revealed during his Best Actor acceptance speech that his girlfriend, Georgina Chapman’s kids call him Popsi. For those who are unaware, Georgina shares two kids with her ex-husband, the disgraced Harvey Weinstein. What Adrien didn’t mention in his speech is that he and Georgina are secretly  engaged and that he’s hoping to adopt her kids. We have no idea if Harvey, who’s currently incarcerated, is aware of the engagement or the adoption plans, but we hear Georgina is all for it, since it’s unlikely Harvey will ever be a free man again.

One of the nights biggest moments didn’t happen. We hear that Cher was tapped to hand out the award for Best Song, but at the last minute had to cancel because she was under the weather.

As we were the first to tell you, Gene Hackman was honored with a touching tribute before the In Memoriam segment.  Every year there seems to be backlash at some deceased stars being omitted from the tribute.  We hear that the Academy is well aware they can’t mention every star and member who passed away during the year, but now they’re including an extended In Memoriam segment online and at their film museum in Los Angeles.

HOW DID ARIANA GRANDE SIT DOWN IN THAT DRESS?

Let’s talk about fashion. At first glance, it seemed that Ariana Grande’s cute pink Oscar gown was made in heaven for Glinda – a one-of-a-kind Schiaparelli couture creation  with a corset top, an architectural peplum and layers of glittery tulle.  What could be more appropriate for the Academy Awards?  Almost anything, it seems. Remember the Oscars show involves around three and a half hours of sitting down in the audience. Did anyone ever see Ariana actually SIT in this dress? Could she? We searched unsuccessfully for a photo of her sitting and would love to see one.  Maybe designers (and those who wear the designs) should think a bit more about FUNCTION.  Women should not be trapped in their attire…

TIMOTHEE CHALAMET: BEST DRESSED

This may not be a popular opinion, but we happen to think that Timothee Chalamet was about as good as it gets fashion-wise at the Oscars. Most men are still wearing the classic black tuxedo look – which is okay, but stiff and far from inspiring.  We were delighted to see that Timothee broke all the rules. He wore a bright yellow leather suit made him stick out like a sore thumb! The Givenchy design is actually tailored to resemble a denim outfit . Ten years ago he would have been asked to leave the red carpet because dress rules were so severe. (Rules were worse for women – we saw a woman asked to leave the red carpet because she wasn’t wearing HEELS!) Timothee has opened the door for all men at future award shows – anything  goes!  Less rules and more fun!

PAMELA ANDERSON BELIEVES IN HERSELF

We LOVE  seeing Pamela Anderson out for the evening without makeup again, looking naturally pretty. And no fake anything- no fake hair, eyelashes or nails!  Pam started this new look for herself when she did a cover story for WWD in 2023. Someone at WWD had seen her documentary Pamela, a Love Story and noticed that she wore no makeup in some at-home scenes and looked really good. It was suggested that she do the photoshoot without makeup and surprisingly, she agreed! That was the start of her new natural look for day and night. Her son Brandon Lee, who escorted her to a pre-Oscar party last night, is in total agreement.

WE TOLD YA SO!

A few weeks ago we were the first to reveal that regardless of whether Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs won or loss the Super Bowl ( they lost) that he and his better half, Taylor Swift, were dipping out of the country and going on a romantic tropical vacation.  Well surprise – surprise that’s EXACTLY what happened.  See link below.  We love being the first to tell you the hottest gossip and we hope you love reading it here before the rest of the world finds out

HERE’S WHAT WE KNOW

One of the latest breaking stories of the week was the shocking death of Gene Hackman, his decades younger wife Betsy, and one of their dogs in their Santa Fe home. While the police investigation continues, we heard from an insider close to the actor that the highly suspicious death could have been a mercy killing and then a suicide. 95 year old Gene was a far cry from his former macho self and in very poor health. My source says he’s been suffering for awhile, and wanted to pass away. The police are working on one theory that Betsy put him out of his misery and then killed herself with drugs. Again this is just one of theories but we wanted to share. (of course it doesn’t explain what happened to the dog!)

Speaking of Gene Hackman, his unexpected death threw Oscar producers into a tizzy. The “IN MEMORIUM 2025” segment for this week’s ceremony was already finished and now producrs are frantically trying to splice Gene into the segment. Since he was an admired two time Oscar winner, they are also figuring out if there’s any other way to honor him. I hear his longtime pal Dustin Hoffman has been asked to say a few words about his passing, but he hasn’t committed to it just yet, since Dustin wasn’t planning to attend this year’s ceremony.

Another celebrity death also made headlines when 39-year-old Gossip Girl star Michelle Trachtenberg passed away months after getting a liver transplant. My source says that some of Michelle’s friends are VERY concerned that her family opted AGAINST an autopsy, and are planning to hire a private investigator to piece together exactly what happened, especially since Michelle was out on the town the night before her death.

Diddy was in the news yet again for another lawsuit – this time a male escort claims he was drugged and raped by the disgraced rapper. We just heard his legal issues aren’t his only troubles this past week. My source blabbed that Diddy’s prison cell was infested with bed bugs who went to town biting him! Diddy was able to persuade authorities to fumigate his cell and replace the mattress and linens, but he’s still griping that the accommodations are a far cry from what he’s accustomed to. My source says that the powers that be at the facility are still considering placing Diddy on a suicide watch since he’s having so much trouble coping.

Gayle King made headlines for revealing she’s going up in space with Lauren Sanchez on an all female flight on the spaceship made by Lauren’s fiance, Jeff Bezos’ company, Blue Origin. Here’s what we know. Lauren also invited Gayle’s best friend, Oprah Winfrey to come along for the ride, but sensible Oprah said thanks but no thanks, preferring to keep her feet and the rest of her planted firmly on earth.

The Oscars will likely be the BIGGEST story of next week as the annual ceremony airs this Sunday. We know this. Front runner Demi Moore (we’re rooting for her) will be partying like there’s no tomorrow regardless of if she wins or loses. Demi, her friend Guy Oseary, (he’s a talent agent) and Madonna are cohosting the after after-hours party (it starts at 2am and ends just in time for breakfast!). It is expected to be THE PLACE TO BE as the A-listers let their hair down, since the event is being held at a private home in Beverly Hills.
