HERE’S WHAT WE KNOW
Euphoria star Sydney Sweeney was all over the news this week, from living at the Beverly Hills Hotel to hanging out with Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez and then bouncing to Paris for fashion week. The biggest news was speculation about the state of her engagement to fiance, Jonathan Davino. Here’s what we know. Sydney and Jonathan indefinitely postponed their wedding claiming they didn’t have enough time to arrange it (isn’t that what wedding planners are for?) but now we are hearing the couple are in limbo – he wants to stay together but she’s having cold feet. They haven’t broken up, but they are in counseling TRYING TO figure out whether they stick together or go their separate ways.
Former En Vogue singer Dawn Robinson made headlines when she announced she had been living out of her car for the past three years. Although she INSISTED she wasn’t looking for sympathy or handouts, the music industry has responded. We just heard that Beyonce has instructed her people to locate Dawn and arrange for an apartment for her until she gets on her feet. Beyonce confided to a pal that she was always a fan of the female group and felt compelled to help a fellow performer in need.
The off-the-charts legal wrangling between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni continues to make headlines, and frankly we aren’t the only one who is SICK OF IT. We just heard that Blake’s “team” now feels the best way to end this and salvage her career (and probably Justin’s) is to get the feuding former costars to somehow agree to star in the anticipated sequel to It Ends With Us. While this now seems like an unlikely long-shot, my source says it is definitely a major part of the strategy to stop the hemorrhaging.
Spotlight loving Donald Trump made the news when he turned the front lawn of the White House into a makeshift Tesla showroom and urged people to buy the electric car. Someone should tell Donald that his publicity stunt BACKFIRED. Our industry source reveals that hours after the press conference, Tesla experienced more car order cancellations than they could have imagined. It seems Donald’s red states aren’t a fan of modern electric vehicles despite his push for them, and the blue state customers where they are popular, are turned off Elon Musk brown-nosing Trump. We just heard that some Tesla Board members are plotting to get Elon tossed from the company out of fear his continued involvement with Trump will be its eventual downfall.
Wendy Williams made news when she dropped a note out of a window of her assisted living facility asking for help and the NYPD showed up. We just heard that Wendy has asked friends to reach out to none other than Kim Kardashian in hopes of saving her from the guardianship. While we are not sure of Wendy’s political beliefs, we can share that she confided to a friend via phone that she thinks Kim has access to powerful people including Donald Trump, and that perhaps with Donald’s help she can be released from her guardianship.
The Mendendez Brothers were back in the news when LA’s DA, Nathan Hochman said he didn’t think the brothers should be resentenced. California Governor Gavin Newsom responded that despite what Nathan thinks, Erik and Lyle are going in front of the parole board in June. Here’s what we know. Gavin was secretly THRILLED that LA’s district attorney said that because he now plans to be the hero and commute their life sentences to time served – as long as nothing unexpected comes up in the parole board hearings. Gavin has his eyes set on a presidential run once his current term as governor ends (he can’t run again due to term limits) and he feels commuting the brothers’ sentences will resonate well with the public.
