Back in November when Black Swan was starting to make waves, we expressed our concern over the fact that Mila Kunis had not been seen with Macaulay Culkin for a long time. When they lived in Los Angeles they were inseparable and frequently spotted in our local supermarket. (Once they were seen together devouring a roasted chicken in the parking lot.) After Mila went to New York to film Black Swan, Mac followed but things were never the same. Mila has become a big movie star and Mac’s career is still stalled. They no longer have much in common. Their sweet romance didn’t work any more. Sad, but that’s how life is.
Macaulay Culkin Mila Kunis Split
People grow up. They were both young.
Next!
Rachel Miner (Macaulay’s former wife who was so outstanding in “Bully”) would have made a far better choice for the role Mila played in Black Swan.
Rachel is subtle and more multi-layered, where Mila is more obvious and played the character very broadly.
But…the minute you saw Mila up to her ears in Natalie’s crotch, you knew for sure the movie wasn’t aiming for subtlety or believability—more like “Girls Gone Wild: Lincoln Center.” 🙂
(And seeing in the closing credits that there were three screenwriters explains—to some degree—the mishmash you’ve just watched.)
His career has nothing to do with it. Mac could’t care less about his career.
She looks like Angelina Jolie and has similar energy…
this is partly the reason “Back To The Future IV” is postponed.
Mac longs for those nights with Michael!
They were such an adorable couple. I always hate it when couples split up. I don’t think Macaulay Culkin particularly cares about nuturing his career. He still has lots money and seems to take on little projects that he likes.
I wish them both the best. I would read more by Mac if he chose to purse writing as one of his interests. His memoir was really good…..I stumbled on it in the library — didn’t go look for it; wasn’t really a “fan” but after reading it, I really liked the kid. He handled his early success well.
I didn’t think Black Swan was all that great. I only went to see it because of all the buzz and I couldn’t understand the plot at all. I guess I was expecting a sexual thriller like Body Heat or something.
