This face might not look familiar now, but as the award show season accelerates, he will be EVERYWHERE. (Maybe you remember him as “Dahmer.”) Not a lot of people saw “The Hurt Locker” – perhaps because the subject matter is so painful, but it is easily one of the most important films of the year. We had to literally be dragged to see it and it wasn’t fun, but the movie is brilliant and Jeremy Renner is up for Best Actor in just about every competition. He’s already won The National Film Critics award (as did the movie) and that’s just the beginning.
"The Hurt Locker" Best Actor Jeremy Renner
…………three DILDO’s instead of two are also welcome.
I loved him in his TV show “The Unusuals”…actually loved the show, and was sad it was canceled, but see he probably wouldn’t have stayed any longer than he had to since his career has taken off. I agree, I won’t be able to watch the movie, but look forward to seeing him in other projects.
Is it really that suspenseful, does it play like an action film? It sounds and looks dreary, I can see why people are avoiding it. And Bigelow’s other films, “After Dark” and “Blue Steel” have not aged well. I call hype.
Never heard of HIM or the film! Gee, wouldn’t it be nice if the producers actually ADVERTISED the thing?
It’s coming out on DVD already….maybe folks will see it then. They need to promote it though. It was on both “At the Movies” fellas’ favorite movies of 2009.
If you go see this movie, you’ll see how worthy it is of awards. It was really great acting, story and he sure looks great in the film.
