RICHARD LEWIS: SOME THINGS NEVER CHANGE
We’ve always enjoyed frantic comedian Richard Lewis – loved his series Anything But Love, and recently, his appearances on Curb Your Enthusiasm. At 65, he’s still wearing all black and has hair to run his hands through. Years ago we were shopping in Bloomingdale’s women’s shoe department and, as usual, asked the clerk if any celebrities had been shopping lately. The salesman said “As a matter of fact, a weird thing happened this morning. Richard Lewis showed up as soon as we opened and he paced around the department fretting and talking to himself for quite awhile. We almost called security but eventually he disappeared.” Strange story – but later we learned Richard had a drinking problem and went to rehab so that explains it. We think.
