MADRID DOG-LOVERS DEMONSTRATE AGAINST GOVERNMENT

It appears that Spanish people are going Ebola-crazy. A nurse in Madrid has been hospitalized as the country’s first Ebola patient and health authorities decided her DOG Excalibur should be euthanized just in case he could spread the virus! (The nurse supposedly caught the disease after caring for a sick priest.) Her husband has been quarantined and he begged to have their dog quarantined instead of destroyed. 330,000 people signed a petition to save the dog and they demonstrated at the nurse’s house (above) but the dog was put to sleep. Dog-lovers are NOT happy.

WHY WE RARELY SEE VIGGO MORTENSEN AROUND ANY MORE

We were particularly fond of Viggo Mortensen in “The Road” and it seems a lot of women are interested in his love life. He’s been pretty much off the market for five years with minimal publicity. That’s because his girlfriend is Spanish actress Ariadna Gil (she appeared with him in “Appaloosa”) and they live mostly in Spain. Viggo, 53,speaks fluent Spanish and he bought a place in Madrid where he spends most of his time with Ariadna and her child. Viggo is careful about choosing his movies because he feels that promoting them around the world is an exhausting and time consuming commitment.
