Long before Victoria’s Secret, Frederick’s of Hollywood ruled the world of women’s undergarments. For many years they were located right on Hollywood Boulevard and did a huge mail order business. Women in small towns yearned for those foam rubber hips and bottoms, crotchless girdles, and inflatable bras. We remember shopping there for 50’s style bullet bras like Madonna wore.
