DOES “STORAGE WARS” HAVE A FUTURE WITHOUT BARRY WEISS?
Four years ago when Storage Wars debuted on A&E, Barry Weiss happened to be a buddy of one of the producers and agreed to appear on the show as a favor. Like everyone else, he was flabbergasted when the series took off like gangbusters and he got a kick out of becoming famous overnight. Between seasons, Barry visited other cities and made a ton of money making appearances and promoting the show. He and his startling collection of vehicles and his spiffy vintage clothing delighted viewers. Last season Dave Hester left after blabbing about the inner workings of the show. (We saw him selling stuff at the Rose Bowl Flea Market a few months ago.) According to RadarOnline, now Barry wants out so he can travel more. (He doesn’t really need the money) Can the series survive without Barry’s comic relief? We doubt it.
