We’ve never seen an S&M cowgirl so we appreciate Dita Von Teese’s originality. She’s our favorite burlesque dancer and now she’s grooving to the tune of MAC. We can’t imagine a better spokesperson for the cosmetic line (her makeup is ALWAYS immaculate) but we can’t take out eyes off her INCREDIBLY tiny cinched waist!
Kate Hudson returned last weekend from making a movie in Australia and her first stop was – of all places- The Palms lesbian bar in West Hollywood. (The ONLY women’s gay bar in the neighborhood.) She and a bunch of girlfriends were celebrating somebody’s birthday. Kate was casually dressed and she and her band of tall blonde hotties danced and whooped it up and created QUITE a stir in the women’s dive bar. A lot of surreptitious ogling went on, but we’re sorry to report there were no love connections that night.
We got such a positive reaction to the lookalike photos of Sly Stallone and his mother, that we just HAD to show you another set of mother-son photos from the Daily Mail. It’s apparent that Tom Cruise does not take after his father – whoever he was. Tom and his mother Mary have the same megawatt smile.
Okay, Pamela Anderson WAS irked when Kid Rock’s mother Susan Ritchie had the nerve to wear FUR to their wedding. But Pam wasn’t all that surprised – she and her mother-in-law have never been close. Pam never wanted to live in Michigan near Susan because Kid was such a mama’s boy. The fur incident was just one of many things that turned the 121 day marriage sour. Not to be overlooked is the fact that Kid presented Pam with a POST-NUPTIAL AGREEMENT that he wanted her to sign after they exchanged vows. Pam was appalled by the idea and she refused. From then on, nothing went right for those two. We have to give Pam credit for not bad-mouthing Kid – she’s really trying to keep the split civilized.
This modest motel, conveniently located in West Hollywood, enjoys visits from more than just budget conscious tourists. One day a very famous actor, who is frequently mentioned on this website, walked up to the check in desk. This hot guy has an off-beat personality that really appeals to his legions of female fans. On that day he was with a male companion, described as “a goodlooking well groomed mature man with grey hair.” The actor paid for the room with his charge card and the two guys disappeared into the room. The clerk was surprised to see them leave after an hour. What were they up to? Drugs? Sex?
We learned a few more things about the Tori Spelling estate sale that might interest fans. First of all, we had serious doubts that Tori really lived in that pack rats paradise in the valley. It’s hard to imagine Aaron Spelling‘s daughter accumulating so much junk but she DID. This is the house she shared with her last husband Charlie Shanian. But don’t blame the decor on HIM – Tori takes credit for all the clutter. That marriage was doomed from the get-go. If you missed the sale – prices were high – a funky pillow went for $75 and photos of Tori for hundreds of dollars. At the end of the day, no one had made an offer for Tori’s used toothbrush. Oops! We almost forgot to tell you that Tori and her new husband Dean are planning to open a bed and breakfast somewhere in Los Angeles. We’ll keep you posted.
We love the fact that Project Runway’s Andre Gonzalo has a delightfully big mouth. Remember him? He was the guy two seasons ago with the shaved head and a tendancy to disappear, causing Tim Gunn to repeat “Where’s Andre?” Anyway, we ran into Andre at the World of Wonder Christmas party and we mentioned the rumor that Tim Gunn might not be returning to the show. Supposedly the show schedule might conflict with Tim’s work as head of the fashion design department at Parsons. Andre scoffed at the notion and called it a publicity stunt. He said the show films at Parsons when school is NOT in session. So how could it conflict with Tim’s job? He’s confident the show will NOT have to go on without Tim.
Finally, Madonna has done something we totally support. She is defying PETA by flaunting a fur coat! And a good looking one at that! SO many celebrities nowadays are afraid to wear fur because PETA has bullied them into feeling it’s “politically incorrect.” Madonna, of course has always been active in raising money for AIDS and PETA lost HER support when they announced “Even if animal research resulted in a cure for Aids, we are against it.” ( To this fanatical group, rats are apparently more important than people.) We don’t wear fur, but we defend Madonna‘s right to do so without harrassment. And we love our pets so we give OUR donations to animal charities that actually rescue cats and dogs- not lab rats. Way to go, Madonna!
Salespeople at a certain fancy shop on Robertson WINCED when they saw Janice Dickinson headed for the store recently. On her last visit to the shop she was described as” falling down drunk” – she made a loud scene- and after she left, they discovered she had puked all over their bathroom and left without saying a word about it. Disgruntled employees had to clean it up. So they were surprised to see her return as if nothing had happened. She piled up about $25,000 worth of clothing on the counter that she wanted for ‘her TV show” She said “We’ll pick these up tomorrow.” She didn’t come back. But three weeks later she returned and started pulling things again, demanding a “celebrity discount.” No discount. On top of that, her credit card was declined as over the limit. She could only purchase to a few small items. Once more, employees had to put back all the clothing she had piled on the counter. Imagine what the people on Janice’s TV show have to go through!
Everyone’s asking “What possessed Britney Spears to flash her pantiless bottom at photographers over and over?” Someone offered us the theory that perhaps Britney was inspired by the movie Babel which was released a few weeks back. A main character, played to perfection by Rinko Kikuchi, is a disturbed mute Japanese schoolgirl who is desperate for attention. She leaves her underpants at home and flashes startled onlookers in restaurants and such. Apparently the looks on their faces are gratifying to her. Maybe the newly single Britney was crying out for help with the same inappropriate behavior.
