JESSICA SIMPSON DOESN'T MIND SHOWING OFF HER FAKE HAIR
Clerks and shoppers alike were thrilled when Jessica Simpson and her sister Ashlee walked into Beauty Collection Apothecary in Calabasas. Jessica browsed in the hair department and squealed “Oh, you guys carry my stuff!” The store features her clip-on hair extensions that sell for under $100. She lifted her hair and showed the salesgirl “See, I’ve got them on!” The salespeople were impressed that she actually uses her own product. Jessica did, however, invest in some expensive Epicurean skin care products, even though she’s a Proactiv spokesperson.

Melanie “Scary Spice” Brown’s problems are NOT all over now that Eddie Murphy has turned out to be the father of her child. Her friends are worried about her new relationship with this guy who calls himself Stephen Belafonte. One friend who really cares about Mel confided, “Some of us get the feeling he’s a phoney and we don’t trust him. We don’t even think that’s his real last name. If you try to check him out – he has no history before 2004. He used to hang out in clubs and never had any money. We’re afraid he’s WAY too interested in that Spice money!” Her friends don’t want to upset Melanie, but they’re keeping an eye on the guy.
Amy Winehouse can pretty much do what she wants – except when it comes to smoking at Heathrow airport. She and her husband Blake took their cigarettes outside because the airport has recently become a smoke-free zone. Amy has missed a number of concerts and appearances lately claiming she’s “exhausted,” hopefully she’s flying off to a restful locale.
The irrepressible Judge Judy Sheindlin provided some free entertainment for other diners at Madeo’s restaurant last week. The opinionated TV judge was dining with a female friend who had marriage problems and was seeking advice. As Judy listened to her tearful tale of woe she couldn’t resist clucking and commenting on each marital disaster. She tried to console the unhappy friend and ended their dinner with “You’re better off without him!” People seated nearby silently applauded her summation.
Celebs in Rehab – what could be more fun than that? The show has already booked eight celebrities with substance problems who don’t mind admitting it. Most of them have already displayed their bizarre behavior on other reality series. Committed so far are Chyna Doll (wrestler Joanie Laurer,) Andy Dick, Jeff Conaway, and Puck from The Real World. The show is set in a real rehab in Pasadena and cameras willl follow celebs as they kick whatever they’re on. We can hardly wait.
