In spite of the fact that he has some of the most knarled toes on the planet, he insists on wearing sandals in public! Not only that, but he has his twisted toes painted so they attract MORE attention. He’s arriving at the airport in that unfortunate footwear so innocent passengers will have to look at those feet for the duration of the flight. JADEN SMITH IS GETTING DOWN WITH BAZ LUHRMANN

When we first saw this photo of Jaden Smith and director Baz Luhrmann entering BBC studios in London, we wondered ”What the heck are THEY doing together?” Then we remembered that Jaden is one of the stars of Luhrmann’s new Netflix series “The Get Down.” (First Woody Allen, and Now Baz “The Great Gatsby” Luhrmann directing for Netflix!) The Get Down SOUNDS like it could be amazing, but we’re still traumatized by our disappointment in “Vinyl.” It’s about the transformation of music in New York in the 1970’s – disco, punk, and most importantly, the evolution of hip hop in the Bronx. Plenty of bell bottoms, afros, great music, and dancing in the first 13 episodes debuting in August. Jaden plays a cool musician/graffiti artist with a huge afro. If it’s half as good as those old Soul Train reruns, we’ll be happy!

Little did 6’5” realtor Fredrik Eklund, 39, realize in 2010 how much his life would change when he signed to appear on Bravo’s Million Dollar Listing NYC. It might be the best thing that’s ever happened to him. Business boomed, and he sold properties worth millions. Big commissions poured in. Three years ago he married his boyfriend Derek Kaplan and they’ve been living quite happily ever after. They spent this past week vacationing in Portofino, Italy, with friends and Fredrik posted happy photos of the luxurious trip.

CAPTAIN FANTASTIC: DON’T LET THE TITLE SCARE YOU OFF!

If the movie title “Captain Fantastic” repels you, you are not alone. We imagined another one of THOSE superhero movies and almost skipped seeing it. That would have been a HUGE loss. The story summation – about a father raising and teaching his six kids to live off the grid in the remote Pacific Northwest, isn’t all that inviting either, but the film is EXCEPTIONAL. It’s a well-written family drama with humor and abundant life lessons. Inevitably the family clashes with the real world and everyone comes out wiser. Fans of Viggo Mortensen are in for a real treat – he’s never been better as the self-reliant dad. This movie is hard not to like.

MARIANNE FAITHFULL GOT WHAT SHE WANTED – AND MORE

Back in the swinging 1960’s London scene, society girl and singer Marianne Faithfull was almost as famous as The Rolling Stones. The “As Tears Go By” singer was Mick Jagger’s beautiful girlfriend and every female wanted to look like her. She was the inspiration for Stones’ songs like “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” and “Wild Horses.” Her perfect life degenerated into a mire of drug excess, heroin addiction, alcoholism, arrests, living on the streets, and health problems. After numerous visits to rehab, the gravel-voiced singer continued to record and put together a successful cabaret act. (She also wrote 3 books!) Marianne miraculously survived where many of her companions of the era did not. She’s 69 now and showed up at the Chanel show during Paris Fashion Week.

Kim Kardashian has done more to push the women’s movement BACKWARD than anyone else on the internet – and she has the gall to consider herself “liberated.” Kim advertises with her nude selfies that sex is the only way for women to get ahead. Looking good is the only thing that matters in her vapid world – not education or achievement. Kim is the anti-Hillary Clinton. Newsflash Kim: You post those nude photos because you love attention and it has NOTHING to do with sexual liberation! And that WAISTCINCHER! It was created to enslave women in the Victorian era while pleasing men! Will you be fitting North with a waist cincher soon? Artificiality seems to run in the family.

THE LAST TIME YOU SAW PARIS

Paris Jackson and her musician boyfriend Michael Snoddy hobnobbed with Hollywood celebrities on July 4 at the Nobu all-white party in Malibu. This is quite a step up – they usually hang out at funky clubs with Snoddy’s young music buddies. Snoop Dogg, the Kardashians and Jenners were among the illustrious party people. Paris fired up a smoke in the parking lot.

LET’S HEAR IT FOR CAITLYN JENNER!

Devoted Kardashian TV viewers might remember back in 2013 when the family started complaining that Bruce should see a doctor about his hearing. They got tired of shouting and having to repeat everything they said to him. He reluctantly took their advice and DID make a medical appointment, but that was the last we heard of it – until now. Caitlyn was seen shopping in Malibu on July 4, wearing a tiny hearing aid. It’s only slightly visible when Caitlyn’s long hair blows in the wind and her diamond earrings make it even less noticeable.

IDRIS ELBA COULD MAKE “THE DARK TOWER” WORTH WATCHING

Idris Elba is a tall handsome English actor who plays American roles to perfection. He’s filming The Dark Tower with Matthew McConaughey and was spotted on location in New York looking like THIS. His creative apparel does arouse our interest in the movie, despite the fact that it’s based on a series of books written by Stephen King (they can go either way.)The story is described as “dark fantasy, science fiction, western, and horror.” A bit much, and not exactly enticing, but we like Elba’s look.

Is it just another hook-up or a secret romance? Seems like Drake and Rihanna have been off and on for YEARS, but it may be heating up.
