WE WILL PASS ON TOM HARDY’S GROTESQUE “CAPONE”

Having read HORRIFYING film reviews of Tom Hardy’s Capone, (especially in Variety) we have removed it from our must-see list. Too bad, because we haven’t seen delicious Tom for quite awhile, but he is described as “unrecognizable” in the role, anyway. He plays the unattractive mobster in 1949 at the age of 47, when he was suffering from full-blown dementia caused by late stage syphilis, and living in Florida. When he isn’t slobbering on a cigar, or “retching into a bucket,” Capone was suffering from “explosive bowels” and wore baggy adult diapers. This monstrous version of a raspy-voiced Capone found him spending his days paranoid and hallucinating while recalling his violent criminal past. He wears pajamas and a bathrobe so there’s no sleek and fancy 1940’s gangster fashion, either. Tom Hardy had to pack on the pounds and shave off his hair for the part, besides enduring the repulsive makeup transformation. (All the chubby balding actors in Hollywood were busy?)

What pandemic? Have you ever seen Tobey Maguire, 44, looking happier? He’s with his model girlfriend Tatiana Dieteman, 27, and looks like he doesn’t have a care in the world. WHO DIDN’T LOVE RAUCOUS LITTLE RICHARD?



Nobody had a better sense of humor about himself than Little Richard – he called himself “The Bronze Liberace.” His crazy, dance-friendly music was so addicting that we could not WAIT to see him when he performed in Chicago in the late 60’s. We had to go to the Rush Street club alone because no one shared our enthusiasm, but the night was more than worth it. Richard welcomed us backstage, and showed us his makeup tricks and fancy wardrobe. He sent one of his employees to walk us home to make sure we were safe. What a sweetheart. A true original, Richard suffered all his life because he was so delightfully gay, but desperately wanted to be true to his religion. We will never forget his pencil thin mustache, pompadour, and oversize gabardine suit in the early days. Yes, we loved Little Richard’s concert MORE than The Beatles…thanks for the memories.

GWEN AND BLAKE BOUGHT THE ULTIMATE DREAM HOUSE!

Even a pandemic can’t stop celebrities from buying and selling real estate. Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have been together for a few years, and they just took a BIG step and bought their FIRST house together and it’s a winner! The best part is- it’s BRAND NEW and no one has ever lived there! According to Variety, the 13000 sq ft Encino hilltop home on 1.6 acres has EVERYTHING – including a state of the art home theater. The builder was asking 14 million and Gwen and Blake talked him down to 13.2 million. Nice way to start a life together…

And celebrities are wearing him! Maria Shriver flaunted her new Fauci T as she was taking her daily walk in her neighborhood today. Apparently she is one of many women of a certain age who consider him to be a heartthrob. The only downside of this newfound fame is that his popularity could make Donald Trump envious, and that wouldn’t bode well for Dr Fauci’s future…

WELCOME TO LOS ANGELES: MEGHAN AND HARRY!

How ANYONE could imagine that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made a MISTAKE when they left the royal family and castles and moved to Los Angeles is a mystery. We happen to think that LA is the greatest city in the world for living. The climate is everything and the cultural, social, and just plain fun elements are abundant. We know how lucky we are to be here. Certainly staying at Tyler Perry’s mansion (above) is enjoyable for now, but the ex-royals are fervently hunting for something smaller and more manageable. We predict that – despite the paparazzi – they will be very happy here – and Archie will eventually be surfing with the best of them…

CHEERS TO ADELE AND HER NEW LOOK!

Wow! One look at the photo Adele posted of herself on her 32nd birthday says it all – she is incredibly pleased with herself. Imagine the fun she’s going to have shopping! For months, Adele has been working out religiously and watching everything she ate. Her determination paid off with a whole new body! Yet SOME people want to spoil this moment by whining that “your weight doesn’t determine your beauty” or that celebrating weight loss sends a negative message about body image. Ridiculous. It so happens that a slimmer body is usually healthier and Adele did it the HARD way – by improving her lifestyle. SHE’S happy so let’s be happy FOR her – and inspired by her too!

TOM CRUISE HAS PLANS FOR ELON MUSK

Scientology leader David Miscavige must be THRILLED to learn that his favorite “church” member Tom Cruise is combining forces with Elon Musk and NASA to make a movie in space. Certainly Tom will work favorable mentions of Scientology into his discussions with Musk. Tom has been known to enthusiastically recruit church members on his movie sets and he will certainly give it a try with Musk. Luring Elon Musk into the church would be the ultimate accomplishment for Cruise, who reportedly has a staff of low ranking Scientology members working for him around the clock without pay. Ironically, Elon Musk has been compared to L Ron Hubbard in the past for their mutual dislike of paying taxes…

WESTON CAGE COPPOLA IS BETTER LOOKING THAN WE THOUGHT

Nicolas Cage’s son Weston first gained attention with his goth heavy metal band Eyes of Noctum– he was a rather dark character and had a few incidents with police plus a “mental observation.” Weston, 29, is now on his third marriage – his first two marriages resulted in two young sons. His current wife Hila just gave birth to twin daughters and posted happy photos online. Weston calls himself Weston Cage Coppola now and he is officially making a living as an actor. He’s been getting parts in more and more small movies, plus a leading role in a war movie called D-Day. Weston has intense eyes and we were pleasantly surprised to see that he is actually nice looking without all that facial hair.
