THIS IS MY NEIGHBORHOOD TODAY

BLACK LIVES MATTER, but apparently the lives of people who worked long and hard to have a business on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles, DON’T matter – at least to the LAPD. They NEVER showed up to help the shop owners in need.

  1. Wasn’t there a show called Melrose Place?

  2. You can thank your liberal leaders. The good people of California just keep electing left wing nuts who will coddle the thugs and leave law abiding citizens to fend for themselves.

  3. Janet Charlton, is that you?!?!? If I didn’t know better, I’d swear some law abiding, business minded, law and order conservative had taken your place – or, after all these years, did you finally get “red pilled”? THIS is what leftist politics and leftist philosophy look like – you and your show biz friends championed it when you were safe behind your walls and gates, but when it finally affects YOU, it’s not so pretty, is it? Maybe this is the wake up call you and all those limousine liberals need to start taking your state back – throw Newsome out of office – CLOSE YOUR BORDERS – take an NRA gun class, and vote for President Trump in November!

  4. We don’t have nearly enough police in this city and our lovely Mayor waited way too long to call in the National Guard! The same thing has been going on in Chicago, New York, and other cities with Liberal so called leaders who have no idea what they are doing! On top of that they refused help from Washington and ALLOWED the mayhem to continue! They will arrest people they can catch, give them a citation and then let them go!!! That is the law in this city! No jail time for crimes like this!

  5. Look what you wrote:
“DON’T matter – at least to the LAPD. They NEVER showed up to help“
At least not to the LAPD?!!! Janet, you should be saying people shouldn’t be destroying other people’s property, stealing and killing other people in the name of protest! Have you seen how “protestors” pulled a guy out of his fedex truck and killed him, have you seen how a husband and wife living upstairs from a jewelry store tried to stop the “protestors” from breaking in and destroying the store and the “protestors” beat up the husband and wife with 2×4 pieces of wood. Have you seen the photos of the innocent protestors who have died and the police who have died? Have you seen the photos of the deliveries of piles of bricks to protest sites??? Have you seen the stories of innocent people who’s businesses which they invested all their savings destroyed by “protestors”. Why don’t you say he did not deserve to die and neither do the people who are trying to honor him do either or lose their businesses. Stop blaming the LAPD, there are LAPD members who risk their lives to save children from being beaten, women from being raped, have taken bullets and risked their lives to save people, they are not all bad. There are good people everywhere, there are LAPD on the streets right now trying to protect innocent people don’t be Throwing them all under the bus because of some horrible ones. Why don’t you write a blog post about how people should be protesting without destroying other innocent people’s lives. An African American police chief came out of retirement to help protect people, he was shot and left to die on the sidewalk, he spent 30 years protecting people and now he to is dead, I’m sure this is not what GF would want, don’t know him, I feel for all who loved him but the destruction of the city has nothing to do with him.

  6. I can’t believe you are putting BLAME on the LAPD!
Why not blame the people who did this!
Re-read what you wrote, you never even mentioned the people who did this!
Why not get mad at and condemn the people who did the destruction.
How is destroying businesses a form of protest?
People in Hollywood are signing petitions to defund the police and at the same time are saying why aren’t the police protecting our stuff?
Nobody is listening to the family of the actual victim who this is all suppose to be about, they didn’t want this, they wanted peace. These people who are going around destroying cities probably don’t even remember his name. Watch the videos see how happy the “protestors” going in stores looting are, are they really Doing that in protest. Why not have some balls Janet and use your platform for good say something that helps!! There are good LAPD police leaving their families right now, tucking their kids in to bed and then going out and putting their lives on the line while you sit here and BLAME them for not protecting these stores. So think about it, these “protestors” smashed up these stores with what? Crowbars, bats, sticks? Maybe they are carrying knives and guns? There are hundreds of them and the police are to go in and stop them and they can’t be everywhere and then you blame them? People are dying because bad people are using this protest to destroy the city. And you don’t even call out the real bad people. Shame on you.

  7. Who destroyed these stores? Why not get mad at them Janet?
Don’t see you writing in all caps about the people who are destroying everything.
Why don’t you all caps get angry at the people who did this?

Authoritarian Democratic leaders were eager to send law enforcement to arrest law abiding citizens at church, or in the parks. But, when it comes to violent protestors & looters, suddenly these same leaders are deciding its bad politics to enforce the law.

  9. The same government officials who threw a woman in jail for opening a hair salon, arrested a pastor for leading worship, and accosted a mom pushing her kids on the swings are doing absolutely nothing to stop violent domestic terrorists from torching their cities to the ground.

  10. Think about this;
The same government officials who threw a woman in jail for opening a hair salon, arrested a pastor for leading worship, and accosted a mom pushing her kids on the swings are doing absolutely nothing to stop violent domestic terrorists from torching their cities to the ground.

  11. This is the real reason for the riots, it’s sadly not to protest the death of an innocent man, rather, it’s to create a distraction from this:
We’re looking for the truth about the Obama Administration officials who weaponized the FBI and DOJ to target and entrap the incoming administration.

  12. Wake up
This is the real reason for the riots, it’s sadly not to protest the death of an innocent man, rather, it’s to create a distraction from this:
We’re looking for the truth about the Obama Administration officials who weaponized the FBI and DOJ to target and entrap the incoming administration.

  13. Hey Janet, I’d like you to take some time to read this article:

PURE EVIL: Police Chief Breaks Down After Describing How Richmond Leftist Rioters Torched Home with Children inside Then Blocked Fire Department

The chief of the Richmond, Virginia, police department told reporters Sunday that Black Lives Matter and antifa rioters set fire to a multi-family home with children inside and then blocking access for firefighters to get through to save the children.
Richmond Police Chief William Smith broke down while speaking about the horrible night of chaos after an occupied building was torched by rioters.

These police are trying their best, why don’t you try your best and make a blog post condemning violence. The police wouldn’t have to save businesses and more innocent people wouldn’t get killed by these “protestors”.
Speak out against the right people, use ALL CAPS against the right people. Nobody deserves to die not GF, not kids in buildings, not immigrants who use their last dollars to start businesses, not in invent people of every color or creed, speak out against the people flipping cars, setting fire to buildings, ( I bet sadly there are a few watch dogs that have also died because of these “protestors”)
Can’t you use your blog for good? For good change?
    Shame on you!
I’ve read your blog for years and years, every day as a matter of fact. This is so disappointing that what you choose to lash out on is this. Try helping!!

  14. You can’t have it both ways Janet. You blame police for doing nothing but fail to understand that one of the main demands of BLM is to defund police departments.

Perhaps it’s time to reexamine what BLM truly stands for instead of blaming police first.

  15. Last years Pride parade in Vancouver was hijacked by BLM. First BLM insisted to the organizers of the parade that the VPD not be involved with the parade. The organizers caved and put out the VPD. Then half way through the parade BLM shut down the parade to make it all about them and police brutality. Mission accomplished. Bully all involved parties to make the parade simply about BLM’s activism. Soros smiled. The useful idiots did their job.
