COLIN FARRELL: ST PATRICK’S DAY WILL NEVER BE THE SAME

We have to admit that before he went into rehab in 2005, Colin Farrell was TONS of fun. In the early 2000’s, the Irish actor was in his 20’s and wildly celebrating his success in Hollywood. Everybody seemed to love him – Colin stayed at the Chateau Marmont Hotel and he visited every bar within walking distance on Sunset Strip. He turned on the Irish charm and had flings with whatever pretty actress he encountered, from Angelina Jolie to Demi Moore. The Chateau Marmont was a hotbed of gossip when he was in town– he even hooked up with Britney Spears there. He may not be quite as much fun as he was before rehab, but he’s still a cutie and now promoting his new movie, Tim Burton’s Dumbo.

Jennifer Lopez and her sister took j.lo’s daughter Emme on an all-girl shopping expedition for new school clothes in New York yesterday. Emme could go anywhere she wanted and she by-passed the fancy stores and chose to shop at highly affordable H&M like the rest of her friends. Nice that Emme seems to be a down to earth kid in spite of her celebrity family.

IT TURNS OUT ALEXIS CARRINGTON AND SUE ELLEN EWING ARE FRIENDS!

Dynasty diva Joan Collins (Alexis) and Dallas diva Linda Gray (Sue Ellen) actually had dinner together last night at Craig’s. Back in the day these women were highly competitive. The 80’s soap stars are currently both enjoying a resurgence of roles for mature women in Hollywood, thanks to cable. Linda is appearing for the second season on a soap called Hilton Head Island and Joan does occasional guest spots on shows like American Horror Story and Hawaii Five-O. Of course, Joan is always working on a book of some kind- she’s churned out 18 publications already.

PETE DAVIDSON’S CAREER AND HIS LOVE LIFE ON THE UPSWING

Pete Davidson must have been in seventh heaven, taking his new girlfriend Kate Beckinsale to the premier of his Netflix movie “The Dirt.” It’s the story of the self indulgent 80’s hair band Motley Crue, and Pete plays a record executive, of all things. The Dirt sounds like fun – an actress is playing Heather Locklear, one of Tommy Lee’s wives, but there’s no mention of his other wife, Pamela Anderson, for some reason. How could SHE be left out? Pete and Kate smooched at the after-party, appropriately held at the beloved Whiskey a Go Go on Sunset Strip.

STILL CRUISIN’: THE VILLAGE PEOPLE

Was there EVER a disco group more fun than The Village People? Last time we saw them, they were opening for Cher at the Hollywood Bowl, and a hard act to follow. Members have changed through the years but lead singer/songwriter Victor Willis, 65, is back and they’ve resumed touring. Willis left his successful group in the early 80’s and wrestled with a drug problem on the streets of San Francisco, (In his heyday he was married to Phylicia Rashad!) He cleaned up in 2007 and eventually his beloved “Cop” returned to the group. New members include Chad Freeman (Cowboy,) James Kwong (construction worker) Angel Morales (Indian) and JJ Lippold (Leather Man.)

Uh-oh, we see a trend developing here, and we’re not talking about the shiny pink jumpsuit. 12 Years a Slave star (and Oscar winner) Lupita Nyong’o is currently promoting her new horror film Us, and she’s been turning up at premiers and promotional events with startling EYE colors. She wore RED contacts to the UK premier and these YELLOW contacts in New York. Can her own collection of all-occasion Lupita colored eye contacts be far behind?

ANGELA BASSETT: AS SMART AS SHE IS GOOD LOOKING

We can’t help but wonder what Angela Bassett (who happens to look GORGEOUS here) thinks about the current college admission scandal. Angela, 60, happens to have a Master’s Degree in Fine Arts from YALE – and her parents didn’t pull any strings to get her there. In fact, Angela grew up in a low-income family, but her smart mother emphasized the importance of good grades and insisted her children prepare for college. Angela also met her husband of 21 years, Courtney B Vance, while both were at Yale, and recently Yale gave the Black Panther actress an honorary doctoral degree. NORTH WEST IS READY FOR HER SELFIE

Kanye West’s Sunday “church services” are becoming quite a social event for the family and invited celebrities. The weekly events are held outdoors in Calabasas and consist of Kanye and his musical friends (Kid Cudi etc) singing gospel songs and songs converted to gospel, accompanied by a full choir. It’s not a particularly religious event and most likely the purpose it to create excitement for an upcoming gospel inspired Kanye West album. This week’s highlight was North West, 5, in a cocktail dress with feathers and a full face of Kardashian makeup…

JULIANNE MOORE’S NOSE WASN’T BIG ENOUGH FOR STARRING ROLE

Last week we were delighted by Julianne Moore’s honesty in admitting she was FIRED from the Oscar nominated Melissa McCarthy role in Can You Ever Forgive Me? Few actors would have put egos aside and been that honest! This confession transpired in an interview with Andy Cohen. Andy did NOT, however, pursue the exact reason when Julianne admitted “creative differences”. The Hollywood Reporter DID dig around and learned that the biggest creative difference was the fact that Julianne wanted to wear a prosthetic NOSE to more closely resemble the real-life character! The director felt a fake nose would be too distracting, and we agree.
