BLAST FROM THE PAST: LINDA EVANS AND PATRICK DUFFY IN MONACO

No sooner did The National Enquirer write about Dynasty star Linda Evans “Living out her days alone as a recluse” than Linda turned up at a Princess Grace tribute in Monaco with pony-tailed Dallas star Patrick Duffy. (TWO 80’s primetime soap stars!) Linda DOES live on a 70 acre ranch in Washington state -she moved there to be closer to JZ Knight, a “spiritual advisor” who has been described as a cult leader. Knight claims to “channel” a 35,000 year old “spirit” who gives advice. She may lack common sense, but Linda has always been an exceptionally nice and kind person – especially with fans. Nice to see she’s out and about…

IT TURNS OUT ALEXIS CARRINGTON AND SUE ELLEN EWING ARE FRIENDS!

Dynasty diva Joan Collins (Alexis) and Dallas diva Linda Gray (Sue Ellen) actually had dinner together last night at Craig’s. Back in the day these women were highly competitive. The 80’s soap stars are currently both enjoying a resurgence of roles for mature women in Hollywood, thanks to cable. Linda is appearing for the second season on a soap called Hilton Head Island and Joan does occasional guest spots on shows like American Horror Story and Hawaii Five-O. Of course, Joan is always working on a book of some kind- she’s churned out 18 publications already.

CHARLENE TILTON AND HER DAUGHTER CHERISH TAKE IN A SHOW

Charlene Tilton and her grown up daughter Cherish attended the opening night of “Sister Act” at the Pantages theater in Hollywood. We last saw Charlene playing Lucy Ewing on the TNT “Dallas” revival in 2012. She was devastated when Larry Hagman died unexpectedly last year.

MORGAN FAIRCHILD LOOKS LIKE IT’S STILL 1978 – IN A GOOD WAY

#morganfairchild #janetcharlton

Whenever we see Morgan Fairchild we marvel at how little she changes. Her first big role was on Dallas in 1978 and she’s been a regular fixture on sitcoms and series TV – mostly playing rich bitches – ever since. Besides playing Sandra Bernhard’s bisexual girlfriend on Roseanne, she played Chandler’s mother on Friends. Morgan has always had that big haired Texas beauty queen look and she still does! She appeared above, signing autographs at the Comikaze Expo at the LA Convention Center this weekend.

WHY VICTORIA PRINCIPAL’S POSSIBLE RETURN TO “DALLAS” IS FRAUGHT WITH PERIL

#victoriaprincipal #dallas #joanrivers #janetcharlton

Victoria Principal, 62, has good reason to be nervous about returning to television after a long absence. Her skin care line Principal Secret keeps her busy and she doesn’t need the money. But producers of the new Dallas show on TNT are bending over backwards to lure her back – even for just a few appearances. The audience is begging for her to return. She’s tempted, but through the years she’s had considerable cosmetic surgery and looks a bit different. (Actually a lot like LaToya Jackson, if you get our drift.) This means she will once again be a prime target for her arch-enemy Joan Rivers on Fashion Police. Their feud started in the 80’s when Joan accused Victoria of lying during an interview – Victoria shaved five years off her age and denied being engaged to Andy Gibb. Later Joan “accidentally’ revealed Victoria’s home phone number on TV and Victoria sued her for three million dollars. If Dallas viewers get their wish and Pam Ewing returns, Joan will be THRILLED.

THE NEXT GENERATION OF “DALLAS” IS IN THE WORKS

Move over Melrose Place and 90210, another vintage drama series is about to be revived (due to an apparent lack of original ideas) most likely on TNT. “Dallas” is in the early stages of preproduction and many of the original stars are being approached to make appearances. Linda Gray, 69, who played Sue Ellen Ewing, and Larry Hagman, 78, who famously played JR Ewing, are both thinking it over. The older stars who do return will simply be featured in cameo roles and a new generation of Texas Ewings will be the stars. Of the original cast – who do you think will jump at the chance to return?
