They are both struggling in an ever-changing Hollywood in 1969, so the clothing, cars, and sets, are highly nostalgic. Which leading man do you prefer? Brad is 55, 5’11” tall, and worth around 240 million. Leo is 44, 6’ tall, and worth 245 million. (Of course Leo’s single and has no kids, Brad is divorced and has 6 kids.) PAM GRIER LIKES BEING IN CHARGE

It’s always fun to see Pam Grier pop up unexpectedly, and this time she has a new series. Pam, of course, made a name for herself in those blaxploitation movies like Coffy and Foxy Brown back in the 70s. In the 80’s she played assorted character roles, but has been working steadily in TV and film through the decades. She’s dated a lot of high profile guys like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Freddie Prinze, Richard Pryor, Don Cornelius, and Wilt Chamberlain, but she has never married and has no children. A VERY independent woman! Right now she’s promoting her new series for ABC, Bless This Mess. It’s about a city couple (Lake Bell and Dax Shepherd) who move to Nebraska for a peaceful life and don’t find it. Pam was cleverly cast as the local sheriff.

Selma Blair looks adorable on her new Alinker walking bike – she’s on her way to get coffee at Alfred’s with her boyfriend David Price and their little dog. The bike has no pedals, but it stabilizes Selma, who has MS, and keeps her moving on days when her balance is questionable. CHARLES MELTON : A HIGHLY DECORATIVE NEWCOMER

The Sun is also a Star is actually a little (or a lot) on the sappy side, but the main characters are dazzlingly photogenic. (It’s also well lit – our current gripe about Netflix is how dreary their cheaply lit series are – everything is too dark to appreciate.) Yara Shahidi is already an established TV beauty, but her love interest in the movie, Charles Melton, is new to us. “Sun” is basically a series of close-ups of these adorable actors, set in New York. So what the story lacks, the visuals make up for. Charles Melton’s role as Reggie on Riverdale is bound to expand exponentially after this movie is released. Suddenly, he’s a hot commodity.

MEG RYAN HAS A SECRET
