THERE’S SOMETHING ABOUT ADAM DRIVER

Above, Adam Driver always looks surprised when he’s accosted by fans for selfies etc, but he happily obliges. Early on, Adam said due to his off-beat looks, he never expected to be a leading man, but he was SO wrong. Right now he’s appearing on Broadway in Burn This with Keri Russell, and his film The Dead Don’t Die opens this month. Jim Jarmusch concocted the comedy zombie movie about a sleepy little town called Centerville, where bad things start to happen. The hipster laden cast is amazing – Adam, plus Bill Murray, Chloe Sevigny, Iggy Pop, Tilda Swinton, Tom Waits, Selena Gomez, Steve Buscemi, Rosie Perez, and Luka Sabbat.

OMG! JOAQUIN PHOENIX AND ROONEY MARA ARE STARTING TO LOOK ALIKE!

We thought it took at least a few years of marriage before a couple started to look alike, but Rooney Mara, 34, and Joaquin Phoenix, 44, are already well on their way. The two, who have been described as “shy homebodies” live together in Joaquin’s Hollywood Hills home where they enjoy meditating and watching documentaries together. Occasionally they go to a small vegan restaurant or take a karate class together, but the two introverts seem quite happy. Both animal activists, the well-matched pair turned up for National Animal Rights Day in West Hollywood.

PETE DAVIDSON IS LIVING A DREAM

As if appearing on SNL and getting the brush-off from Ariana Grande wasn’t enough, now Pete Davidson is officially a model. Obviously Alexander Wang has a playful sense of fun – he booked Pete along with the usuals –Kendall Jenner, Kaia Gerber, etc – for his NY runway show at Rockefeller Center. Pete, 25, sheepishly slouched along the runway in leather and denim pants to the delight of the surprised fashion crowd.

She may not be quite as tight with the white house family as she’d like to be, but Tiffany Trump, 25, seems to be having the time of her life! When she’s not studying law at Georgetown, Tiffany is traveling in style with her Lebanese born Nigerian billionaire boyfriend, Michael Boulos. His family owns a huge conglomerate in Africa, and Michael loves to have a good time. IVANA TRUMP KEEPS HER THOUGHTS TO HERSELF NOWADAYS

Ivana Trump enjoyed a balmy afternoon in New York by shopping on Madison Avenue. (Barneys, perhaps?) We have to give Ivana credit, because in all the time her ex-husband Donald Trump has been president, she has never uttered one embarrassing word about him. Paparazzi pepper her with questions every time they spot her, but Ivana’s lips are sealed. Maybe she remembers the time Donald sued HER for writing a thinly veiled tell-all “novel” that he found offensive. She hasn’t made that mistake again – in spite of the fact that she too, is friendly with the National Enquirer.

IRELAND BALDWIN IS DRUMMING UP BUSINESS FOR THE ALDI DISCOUNT STORES

This photo of Ireland Baldwin modeling in Germany has been circulating and it introduced us to a huge chain of stores we never heard of. Ireland is presenting the new beachwear collection for the German based grocery outlet/bargain market Aldi (it’s similar to Costco.) Aldi has 10,000 stores in 20 countries – 1600 in the US – mostly back east. And we NEVER heard of it! Ireland is formidable on the catwalk – she’s 6’2” in sneakers so we imagine a lot of discount clothing doesn’t fit her. But she’s doing a great job of publicizing Aldi.

BRYCE DALLAS HOWARD: ONE OF THE BEST THINGS IN ROCKETMAN

Bryce Dallas Howard has every reason to look happy. She was one of the most surprising elements of the movie Rocketman. We almost didn’t recognize Bryce – she played Elton John’s mother when he was a kid and also years later when he became a successful rockstar. Her English accent was perfect and her floozyish character portrayal unforgettable. This should open a lot of acting doors for her AND make her dad Ron Howard very proud…

SO THAT’S WHAT HAPPENED TO MEG TILLY!

Meg Tilly was a successful actress in the 80’s and early 90’s (we loved her in The Big Chill) but then she seemed to drop off the face of the earth. (Her cute sister Jennifer Tilly is now doing more poker tournaments than acting.) It seems Meg became a WRITER – and she just published her SEVENTH novel “Cliff’s Edge.” Meg did some acting in Canada in the early 2000’s but she married another novelist and books are what keep her busy these days. Apparently the cold Canadian climate agrees with her – she is still adorable…
