It’s obvious that Sophie Turner loves to shop (she’s often seen in the best stores around LA) – and her husband Joe Jonas doesn’t mind tagging along. Her success on Game of Thrones gave her the means to buy whatever she wants and she usually looks quite fashionable. But these JEANS!! What on earth made her buy such weird unflattering pants? They almost look like two pairs of jeans layered together, with the outside pair patterned after fishing boots. The stiff wider-at-the-top denim makes her look considerably larger than she is. According to The Hollywood Reporter, it sounds like most of us missed the screening party of the season Tuesday night and we wish we’d been there! Cable channel Freeform (it’s related to Disney) had a first-of-its kind covid careful event at the Beverly Hilton Hotel celebrating the 90’s and their new series Cruel Summer. (Jessica Biel is executive producer) 80 hotel rooms were rented for the premier and guests watched the first two episodes of the series from their balconies facing a 70 foot screen, with special speakers in every room. Each hotel room was stocked with 90’s inspired decor -band posters, teen magazines, scrunchies etc, and 90’s snacks like Hot Pockets and Capri Sun. 90s music played in every room before and after. Guests were invited to stay overnight if they wanted to. What a fun night! Cruel Summer is about a missing teen and the story takes place on a single day in 93, 94, and 95. Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox were swarmed by paparazzi when they left a restaurant last night and both pretended they didn’t enjoy the attention. Before they hooked up, neither was a paparazzi magnet, but as a couple they‘re a hot commodity. MGK has never gotten this much press attention before, so Megan has given his career a big boost. He continues to be the glamorous half of the couple, despite Megan’s obvious beauty. He out-dressed her tonight as usual, choosing all white and accessorizing with lots of sparkling jewelry and ropes of pearls. Megan’s bulky black leather pants didn’t do her any favors.

Sorry to say this, because I’ve been a fan of Robert De Niro’s acting since Mean Streets, but as a person, he turned out to be a big disappointment. In 2017, he railed against the The New York Post for writing that he was heard complaining to his then-wife Grace about her extravagant spending. He told her “I wouldn’t have to keep making these sh—-y movies if you didn’t spend all my money!” His publicist Stan Rosenfeld swore that it never happened. Last week De Niro’s divorce attorney made exactly the same claim in court – that De Niro was overworked trying to pay for Grace’s thirst for Stella McCartney. I had a similar experience with the not-so-honest not-so-nice actor. Back in the 90’s my source -an employee at a posh NY hotel – was laughing when he called to report that De Niro had made a “Don’t you know who I AM?” scene late that night in the lobby, trying to access the room of a woman staying there. He was told by the hotel manager the room occupant would have to come to the lobby and get him. Hotel rules. An attractive back female celebrity came to the lobby in her robe to retrieve the sputtering and furious actor. When the gossip item came out in Star Magazine, De Niro had his people call my editor and try to get me fired – he claimed the story was NOT true- and he called the hotel to gripe about the “leak,” hoping to get someone fired. My source and I were both scared. A few weeks later I was at an event and the woman De Niro visited at that hotel came up and told me the story was absolutely true and SHE thought it was funny.

Arnold Schwarzenegger can be seen riding his bike in Venice or Brentwood just about every day, so he’s more than in shape for his next project. Actually he doesn’t need his body for his next job- he’s only using his voice for an animated series called Superhero Kindergarten. The late Stan Lee came up with the idea for the series after he saw Arnold in Kindergarten Cop. The series is about a superhero turned teacher who educates the next generation of young superheroes about how to manage their powers. Arnold is excited about his new teacher role – set to debut on the kartoonchannel.com on April 23.

Suri Cruise just had another birthday and every day she looks more and more like her father. The mystery remains: why does Tom “I do my own stunts” Cruise have NO relationship with his only biological child? We all assume it’s because he is not permitted to socialize with non-believers in Scientology. Tom’s ex Katie Holmes did not raise their child in Scientology. But wouldn’t Scientology make an exception for Tom – their most important member? Tom is frequently seen with his adopted kids Connor and Isabella who are still Scientologists. Aren’t they curious about their half-sister? The last time Tom was seen with Suri, she was seven years old. She’s growing up to be a very attractive girl. Suri must be bursting with teenage curiosity about her father – it’ll be interesting if someday she tries to reach out to HIM..

Comedian Awkwafina (born Nora Lum) paid her dues for years on the stand-up comedy circuit. Little did she suspect at the time, that she would ultimately find her success as a movie actress. Ocean’s 8 and Crazy Rich Asians started the ball rolling and this year she won a Golden Globe for The Farewell. Last year her Comedy Central series Awkwafina is Nora from Queens was a hit and renewed for a second season. How did she celebrate? Awkwafina did what smart girls do- she invested in real estate. She traded in the West Hollywood condo she bought in 2019 for a 3.5 million dollar streamline-moderne inspired home in Bel Air. The 3500 plus sq ft house has all the frills, but it’s on the top of a gated hill with a gorgeous views. We wonder if it’s too isolated for a sociable girl.
