KEVIN McCARTHY HAS HIS EYE ON PALM BEACH AND YOU-KNOW-WHO

Our readers know that sometimes we can’t RESIST sharing a good piece of political gossip and this one definitely fits the bill. Will humiliated retiring congressman Kevin McCarthy   go from Speaker of the House to Donald Trump’s lackey? After getting the boot as House Speaker, Kevin couldn’t WAIT to quit Congress, retiring even before finishing his current term. According to our source – there’s a REASON for his abrupt exit – he’s trying to land a job with Trump! Middle class Kevin is ready to hightail it out of his hometown, Bakersfield, California, and move to Palm Beach, Florida, where Trump calls home. He’s looking for a job in the Trump orbit and has already broached the subject with Trump. Get this: he’s even pitched himself as the general manager of Mar-A-Lago!

KIM KARDASHIAN HAS A KNACK FOR PEACEMAKING

If her dream of becoming an attorney doesn’t work out, Kim Kardashian can always fall back on her peacemaking skills and become a mediator. Kim is close to the Kushner brothers, Jared and Joshua. Jared is married to one of Kim’s close friends, Ivanka Trump, and (who knew?) Joshua is her business partner in her clothing line, Skims. According to a well-placed insider, although the brothers usually get along well, they DO have tiffs and frequently turn to Kim to help them resolve their differences. Joshua is a liberal while Jared, being married to a Trump, is conservative. Facing an election year, Kim is confiding to pals that she predicts she will be busier than ever resolving the boys’ differences.

MONEY IS NO PROBLEM FOR DR PHIL

Can you keep a secret? Dr. Phil is throwing his wife, Robin, a lavish 70th birthday in St. Barts for their family and close friends and he has a lot of special surprises planned for the January bash. The former talk show host originally hoped to make it a surprise party, but Robin caught wind of the idea, so now he’s planning some other special things for her. He’s trying to get either Elton John or Paul McCartney to perform over the weekend celebration and is flying in some of her longtime friends from grade school! Robin loves fashion, so one of her surprise gifts is a trip to Paris where she will have some couture dresses made at the House of Dior. Phil is picking up the entire tab, which he’s estimating to cost $10 million! (We didn’t realize how wealthy he is!)

MEN IN HIGH HEELS: JARED LETO IS DEAD SERIOUS ABOUT HIS BAND

Judging by his footwear, Jared Leto is putting his acting career on the shelf for now, and he’s concentrating on his music career. After all, he DID climb the Empire State Building simply to promote his band, 30 Seconds to Mars, upcoming tour. Guys who wear high heels are usually in the music biz- like Kanye West and Harry Styles. Jared turned up at the Z100 2023 Jingle Ball ln NYC looking every inch a ROCK STAR…

RYAN O’NEAL: THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES

It was back in the 70’s when we were partying at the small and exclusive club in Beverly hills called The Candy Store. A recent arrival in LA from Chicago, we loved nightclubbing because we always ran into movie stars. On this night we were mesmerized by the sight of What’s Up Doc? costars Ryan O’Neal and Barbra Streisand, apparently out on a date. They danced very close and when they sat down, Barbra was openly affectionate and possessive and coy- she seemed to be crazy about him. He was attractive – looked like a college frat boy. Barbra’s romantic notions didn’t pan out (they never became a couple) and that was probably for the best. Ryan went on to have 4 kids and three out of four were drug addicts – Ryan took the blame. But he made some sweet, funny movies and we appreciate him for that…

WILL A KARDASHIAN OR JENNER APPEAR ON HOLLYWOOD WALK OF FAME?

It’s a race to the BOTTOM for the Kardashians and Jenners – the bottom of Hollywood Blvd. that is! Family members Kris, Caitlin, Kim and Khloe are obsessed to see who can be the first the get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. While Kourtney, Kendall, Kylie and Rob couldn’t care less about the honor, the other four are scheming to be the first to land a star. When they first starting making lots of money, they even made a bet that whoever got their star first, would collect $1 million from the other three. Although Caitlin has been pretty much ostracized from the rest of the group, the bet still stands. Here’s the interesting part: Caitlin was Bruce when the bet first started, and technically could wind up with a star under either name.

CHRIS APPLETON AS FIRST GAY BACHELOR? LINE FORMS TO THE RIGHT…

They say every dark cloud has a silver lining and now Kim Kardashian is hoping to help her hairstylist, Chris Appleton find HIS. Chris is licking his wounds over his disastrous short lived marriage to White Lotus star Lukas Gage, so quick-thinking Kim decided to turn the fallout from failed romance into a TV show! Let’s face it – when Kim calls, network executives pick up the phone! She recently reached out to the powers-that-be at ABC to pitch Chris as the first gay Bachelor! To sweeten the deal, publicity loving Kim agreed to make frequent appearances on the show and also serve as an executive producer. A decision hasn’t been reached yet, but Chris is up for a chance at finding love on TV -especially if Kim is part of the equation.

EVEN MELANIA TRUMP CAN’T RESIST A SALE

The former First Lady uses an expensive skincare line from a top Beverly Hills dermatologist, which is only available at the doctor’s office. Recently she was delighted to learn they they were having a Black Friday sale. She ordered $20,000 worth of serums, moisturizers, and anti-aging treatments. My source says Melania is a repeat customer and usually has the goodies delivered to her in Palm Beach, spending approximately $2,000 a month on the products. The stuff rarely goes on sale, so Melania jumped at the chance to stock up, ordering a years supply in one swoop. Now here’s the funny part, Melania asked for FREE SHIPPING since the order was so large – and even though it wasn’t part of the promotion – she got it!

KIM ZOLCIAK AND KROY BIERMANN: IS A SEX TAPE THE ANSWER?

Celebrity sex tapes bring in big money and now financially challenged reality stars, Kim Zolciak and her husband Kroy Biermann could be the next to release their own romp! The former Real Housewife of Atlanta star and her ex-pro footballer hubby are facing massive debts and are about to be evicted from their mansion. As we previously revealed, Kroy was contemplating an Only Fans account, but now he and Kim think the real money is in a sex tape. They already have recorded some of their steamier sessions and are deciding if they want to go down that path. A source says that if the money is good enough, they WILL release the tape.

KOURTNEY AND TRAVIS PLAN TO KEEP BABY UNDERCOVER

Fans of her reality show shouldn’t expect to see Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker’s  baby boy Rocky 13 on any episodes. Kourtney’s children with Scott Disick made appearances through the years on  Kardashian reality shows – my source says that Kourtney was never thrilled with the idea, but Scott pushed for it – especially since the kids got paid. Unlike Scott, Travis doesn’t want his child featured on the reality show, regardless of how much producers offer, so the baby will NOT be seen on camera.
