Maggie Gyllenhaal must be monumentally stoked- she’s just about the only female in The Dark Knight and it’s broken all box office records. Even though she had little to do in the film, her price went WAY up. (And suddenly she’s being hounded for autographs.) She wore this black dress when she appeared on The Daily Show i in New York. Usually women wear black when they’re feeling fat, but in her case that’s not applicable.
I love her! She deserves every penny.
I find this woman and the way she dresses very unappealing.
she was terribly miscast in that film. Nothing compelling or interesting about her and just plain HOMELY.

She has a really different looking face…not particulary pretty, or ugly, just different.

The only thing I would cast her is as Miss Piggy. She’s a decent actress but nothing spectacular. She isn’t pretty since she reminds me of Miss Piggy. And from what I have read, she’s yet another idiot who thinks people should take her idiotic views seriously because she’s an “actress”.
The love interest in that film should have been compelling, interesting and a real femme fatale – someone worth fighting for.. Neither descriptions fit this girl. She is blah, mousy and needs some serious rejuvaderm. Her closeups were painful to watch.
Is she a closet lesbo like her brother is a closet faggot? Just wondering….
The scuttlebutt is that the director of the BatmanTDK was forced to cast Maggie G. after being strong-armed by SOMEONE who shall remain nameless.
Nolan (the director) KNEW she was an awful choice, but got his ultimate revenge by ********SPOILER ALERT**********killing her off in the film, a move that has garnered outbreaks of applause during some screenings when Maggie’s character meets her demise.
SOMEONE has been leveraging the services of Maggie’s brother into shoe-horning her into roles for which she is woefully unsuited, TDK being the most recent example.
Other than maybe playing “Olive Oyl” in a live action role (for which she’d have to beat out Minnie Driver), there really is no reason to see Maggie G. on a movie screen.
Nolan’s better choice? Someone beautiful, talented and interesting, someone on the rise; Tammy Blanchard, for example.
Let me guess? Heath told Nolan he wouldn’t do TDK unless he cast Maggie, sister of his dear friend and daughter’s godfather?
Come on!
Maggie being cast in TDK was a FAMILY effort.
That clear enough for ya?
