Josie Cotton, who sang the beloved 80’s anthem “Johnny, Are You Queer?” has been out of the limelight for awhile, but now she’s back with a new CD “Invasion Of The B-Girls.” (It’s a collection of songs from her favorite B movies like “Beyond The Valley of the Dolls“) Since director John Waters included “Johnny, Are You Queer?” on HIS album “A Date With John Waters,” Josie asked him if he’d appear in her new video. To everyone’s surprise, Waters not only said NO, but he implied that Josie copied an idea of HIS. Is he getting grumpy in his advancing years? Josie didn’t take it personally – she still admires Waters and will forge ahead without him.
THIS WEALTHY GUY JOHNNY WANTS TO BE RECOGNIZED BY HOLLYWOOD THAT HE TRADES FOR SEX
That’s one of my favorite songs!
If this is true, it’s very disappointing that Mr. Waters won’t return the favor. Josie is a class act. Glad she’s still making music.
I predict that the two icons will merge together and won’t that be DELICIOUS!!!!!!
What a great duo!!! Come on John, let your moustache down and embrace Josie, she’s the underground Queen of the 80’s!!
Is she a tranny?
This sounds like a cliche, but I really thought that waters had dies several years ago. remember when all those British actors were passing away. It seemed like every engliskemn who had ever been on film was dropping dead. Including terrence stamp. Come to find out that stamp is still alive and Waters is too.even though waters is neither British nor actually still living.technically speaking.
wow!
Who will ever forget Josie’s awesome performance in 80s classic “Valley Girl”. Definitely the best band to appear in a teen movie–EVER!!!
She’s still hot!
Her voice was squeaky and awful, even Belinda Carlisle could belt it out better than her! And that pic of John Waters has to be about 25 years old!
