We heard a little info about the “head in a bag” found in the Hollywood Hills. Since the murder victim was identified as Hervey Medellin, 66, a retired airline employee, investigators are looking for people who used to frequent the Spotlight dive bar in Hollywood, which closed in September. This sleazy but popular and well-known bar was almost half a century old – Keifer Sutherland drank there and Brad Pitt tried to buy the place at one time. It was also a gay bar where older men often picked up young hustlers. Police are following a tip that the murdered man met someone there awhile back and he may be a suspect. Just passing on what we heard….
You also failed to mention, Janet, that he is from Mexico, and he worked for a Mexican airline. I detect a drug cartel is behind the murder, myself.
Considering all of the murders that have been going on in Mexico lately, this case seems eerily familiar to what has been going on over there. IMO
I’m with Muffie, on this one—could be drug related (the guy’s last name, “Medellin,” is an interesting coincidence, too).
There was an ancient bar in that neck of the woods—was it also the Spotlight?—that was where a doctor and his gay hustler cohort picked up a guy some years ago, and then killed him in order to use his corpse in an insurance scam—where they pretended that the doctor had died.
And Kiefer’s quite the party-boy, no?
“Keifer Sutherland drank there ”
Of course, he did. Thirsty Sutherland doesn’t discriminate. He drinks wherever there is an open bar (and the occasional X-mas tree) lol.
I’m w/ Muffie on this one, too. Pretty grisly murder that’s making a definite point — not the kind of thing that gay silent star Ramon Novarro had happen to him…two hustlers who beat him and then killed him…
Behading has Mexi gang all over it.
Oh jeez…”Beheading.”
Geez, that’s where I like to go when it’s thirsty time. Better change my watering hole.
It’s probably the same dude who offed that Jewish Film agent awhile back. A Professional hit for sure. Probably paid for by Harvey Weinstein.
some people take groceries in a bag.
……others a head or two.
I agree with Muffie also regarding a possible drug link.
I feel for whoever the poor bastard was who found the bag. Not a pleasant surprise.
