In 2004 Reese Witherspoon attracted more than just everyday fans while shooting If Only It Were True on locations in San Francisco. Whenever she noticed homeless people near the set, Reese dashed to a nearby market and bought beverages and groceries for them. It didn’t take long for word to get out, and as days progressed there were more and more hopeful homeless people gathered around the location. It made some setsiders uncomfortable, but not Reese – until the movie wrapped she earnestly provided food for every hungry street person who showed up.
