Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets

CARA DELEVINGNE: IS LOOKING GOOD REALLY ENOUGH?

The usually moody Cara Delevingne is doing her best to promote her new movie Valerian and The City of a Thousand Planets – she even cracks a smile once in awhile. But we remain in a quandary- we are HUGE fans of director Luc Busson, and we ADORED The Fifth Element, as well as Lucy and The Professional. (They all happened to have great female characters.) If we come across The Fifth Element on TV we cannot change the channel. We were excited to see Valerian UNTIL we learned it is based on a COMIC BOOK. Maybe that’s why the title makes no sense. Critics say great visuals – no story. Is that enough?

RIHANNA STOLE THE SHOW AT HER MOVIE PREMIER

Rihanna made yet another incredible entrance at the Hollywood premier of her sci-fi action film Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, directed by Luc Besson. Rihanna is gradually turning herself from pop star to actress and this movie is a big step for her. She plays a glamorous shape shifting alien working in an underground sex club where she performs in dozens of extravagant outfits. If this movie is anything like Busson’s The Fifth Element, we couldn’t be happier. Valerian has been called the “most expensive movie ever made in France.”
