There Will Be Blood

Oops. We almost forgot to point out that delectable actor Daniel Day Lewis got a Critics’ Choice Best Actor award for “There Will Be Blood.” We can’t say enough about his mesmerizing performance in this movie. Why do all his roles seem to have been written specifically for HIM? Because he’s such an amazing actor, that’s why, and to be honest, we aren’t usually impressed with acting. Anyway, we hope this leads to an Oscar for him and while we’re at it, we hope Marion Cotillard wins Best Actress for La Vie En Rose.

We are totally enamored with this photo of Daniel Day Lewis taken at the New York premier of his excellent “There Will Be Blood.” We happen to think he has an amazing fashion sense, and this unique plaid suit reminds us of his under-appreciated movie “Gangs of New York.” Not only was Daniel brilliant in the film, but Sandy Powell should, at the very least, have won an Oscar for best costume design for the astonishing period menswear. Yes, we have an affinity for plaid.
