The Informant

MATT DAMON GIVES HIS ALL, BUT IT’S NOT ENOUGH

Had we realized that Steven Soderbergh directed “The Informant!” we would have lowered our expectations. As a rule we find most of his work to be ABOUT men and FOR men, like the Oceans movies and Che. Females are just window dressing, and usually the men featured aren’t all that interesting. With the exception of “Erin Brockovich”, we never found his movies to be particularly engaging, and most of them are downright boring. In spite of Matt Damon’s very determined performance, this movie, which features a large group of mostly unattractive businessmen, is dull and repetitious, and we had to fight to stay awake.

MATT DAMON 'S FACIAL HAIR DOESN'T REPEL ILLINOIS WOMEN

It’s amazing what a mustache can do to completely change a hot guy’s face. Matt Damon has the makeunder – and furry upper lip – for his role as a nerdy businessman turned FBI whistleblower in “The Informant” which is based on a true story. He’s filming in Illinois right now and his lowkey appearance (doesn’t his NOSE look different, too?) hasn’t stopped hordes of young women undaunted by the facial hair, from following him around.
