We were wondering WHY Mischa Barton broke up with her rocker boyfriend Taylor Locke and we dug up an amusing piece of information. Apparently the pair had been working in far flung places during the months they were together and actually spent very little time in each other’s company. Not long ago they took a three week trip together to Africa on a charity junket for Save the >Children. The togetherness was too much. Their accommodations weren’t always luxurious and Taylor never stopped complaining. Mischa couldn’t tolerate his “continuous whining” and as soon as they returned home, she called the romance off. She was last seen in London in the company of Josh Hartnett.

Mischa Barton is thinking about going from acting to singing. If Scarlett Johannson and Lindsay Lohan can do it, why not Mischa? She’s been seriously dating musician Taylor Locke, and he’s sufficiently impressed with her voice to work with Mischa on her debut album. Right now she’s spending time in the studio here and there, just having fun. But if things start to come together she might proceed with an album.

At long last, Mischa Barton has brought home a boyfriend that her mother approves of! Mischa has been dating rocker Taylor Locke, guitarist for the band Rooney, and she wasn’t sure how her mother Nuala would react. Mom wasn’t thrilled with Mischa’s last two serious boyfriends, Brandon Davis and Cisco Adler. Despite his career choice, Taylor is clean-cut, educated, and comes from a good family. This time Nuala encouraged Mischa to go for it. Keep in mind that sometimes a mother’s approval takes all the fun out of a romance. Especially for girls who love bad boys.
