KANYE WEST: HIS BABY’S IN BLACK

Kanye West has been educating and immersing himself in modern design, architecture, and fashion, thanks to friends in Europe and Wallpaper magazine. He shops at Barneys and isn’t afraid to wear skirts. Black, white, and cream are the only colors he wants to see in his world. He is now horrified by the tacky 11 million dollar mediterranean McMansion in Bel Air he bought with Kim, so he’s completely renovating the interior. (They’re living in a rental near her mom for now.) Kanye wants North to reflect his sleek understated style so the little girl is dressed only in black, white, or cream. No pink. The nursery will be done in navy, black and white.

Fashion Star Jessica Simpson Kara Laricks Style

FASHION STAR GOT IT RIGHT: KARA LARICKS IS A WINNER!

Last night’s Fashion Star winner, Kara Laricks, was a standout from day one and the only contestant oozing originality. Great designers usually have a unique and individual personal style, and former schoolteacher Kara was a standout compared to her competition. The series started off a bit dull because designers had to please middle of the road department stores and their rather unimaginative customers. Kara always managed to squeeze fashion forward surprises into her work and her modest attitude was refreshing. Best of all, She LOOKS like a fashion winner! On another note, this show also made us appreciate Jessica Simpson’s spontaniety.

Hair! Kesha Rock'n'Roll Style

KESHA HEAD STUDS: NOT AS AGGRESSIVE AS THEY LOOK

Kesha got our attention with her Glamour makeunder a few weeks ago- now she wants her mojo back. After shaving the side of her head, she had over 25 gold studs applied in the area. It LOOKS startling – especially to parents- but actually the studs are quite temporary and harmless. Nothing is punctured or permanent – they are GLUED on and easily removed. Considerably less invasive than a tattoo or piercing. Kesha is getting plenty of cluck for her buck.

Breakout star from A&E’s top rated reality show “Storage Wars” is 60ish Barry Weiss and he’s proved to be catnip for women of a certain age. Female fans already started a Facebook fan page for their snappily dressed guy. (He admits he’s been single for the last 28 years.) Barry’s got oodles of style – he wears vintage clothing and drives amazing collectible cars, and he’s quick with a wisecrack. A cool cat. Just what women want. Steve Jobs was more than just a brilliant CEO and billionaire – he gave us innovation AND style. Something sorely lacking in technology. We first fell in love with Apple products when these fruit colored computers came out – in blueberry, strawberry, tangerine, lime, and grape. Jobs proved that machines can be beautiful. We have never seen her in the same outfit twice, but she’s not as high maintenance as you might think – Dita says she does her OWN hair and makeup every day! No WONDER Jaden Smith and his sister Willow are always dressed in the height of kid fashion! It so happens they have the same stylist as Rihanna! Hence the creative hairstyles and leather pants. Mariel Haenn is the woman responsible for Rhianna’s extraordinary stage attire and off camera apparel as well. She is probably one of the best paid and most famous stylists around, and she doesn’t have many clients under 12. However the Smith kids may pay off in a big – and inevitable – way – she’s working to develop a clothing line with them. So if the movie business doesn’t work out, they’ve got something “to fall back on.”

Never in a million years did Lady Gaga think she’d be recognized when she went out for coffee in Los Angeles. She obviously took a day off from fashion because she looks more like a K-Mart shopper than a pop star- and her shorts aren’t even zipped! This look clearly illustrates how dependant Gaga is on her hair and makeup people and stylist. When she realized she had been photographed, she leaped into her waiting Rolls Royce.
