Rod Stewart is a lively dad for 66. He took his six year old son Alastair shopping at a toy store in Beverly Hills and let him pick out something new. Rod is the father of 8 now – his third wife Penny Lancaster gave birth to his youngest, Aiden, in February. That’s a lot of children for a man who is notoriously tight with his money.
Privately, Rod Stewart, 66, is far from thrilled at the news that his daughter Kimberly is expecting Benicio Del Toro’s baby. Kimberly is 31 and has no career, nor does her brother Sean. Rod has eight children and dislikes supporting offspring that are over 21 and not in school. They have no direction in life. “I wish one of them would get a job.” He laments. The fact that Kimberly’s pregnancy is the result of a short meaningless fling also irritates Rod. Thrifty Rod vowed that his eighth baby would be his last, but now he’ll have another mouth to feed.
We had to laugh when we heard this funny tidbit about Alana Hamilton Stewart. (Remember, she was married to equally idiosyncratic George Hamilton and was Farrah’s best friend.) According to our spy, Alana is a steady customer at Diane Von Furstenberg’s store on Melrose. When she plans to shop there, she calls ahead and they reserve her favorite dressing room and – get this- they prepare to play her OTHER ex-husband, Rod Stewart’s, old hits. She likes to try on clothes while rocking out to songs like “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy?” and “Hot Legs.”
Rod Stewart has reunited with his lookalike 47 year old love child Sarah Streeter, who was the result of a relationship Rod had at 18 with an art student. Baby Sarah was put up for adoption and was eventually placed with a nice family outside of London. She didn’t know Rod was her father until she turned 18. Through the years they were in touch off and on, but when her adoptive mother died, Rod reached out to her and they’re getting to know each other. The first time he saw her he said it was “like looking in a mirror.” The top photo was taken by Rod’s pregnant wife Penny Lancaster and the older picture (where the resemblance is striking) is from the early 90’s.
Rod Stewart can completely disappear when he walks behind his statuesque wife Penny in Beverly Hills. When he steps away, we can appreciate his style. Lots of celebrities (including Rod’s wife) go to Beverly Hills in their casual sweats but Rod is dressed up in a brown plaid suit and he RULES! It’s refreshing to see a man without a baseball cap!
It’s date night at Il Sole. That renowned filet of sole is a huge draw for the Sunset Strip restaurant. Jane Fonda and her boyfriend music producer Richard Perry are still a very hot mature couple – Jane feely admits she’s in love with Richard and despite the fact that they’ve been caught necking in a parking lot, there are no marriage plans. They had dinner with one of our favorite couples – Rod Stewart and his towering third wife Penny Lancaster. (Before he hooked up with Penny, Rod vowed “I won’t get married again – I’ll just find a woman I don’t like and give her a house!”

It’s SO hot in Los Angeles that Rod Stewart’s usual rooster haircut has fallen flat. But he doesn’t care. Rod just left Koi restaurant in this photo and he looks awfully content. Somebody ELSE must have picked up the check!

Sean Stewart has apparently forgotten his manners altogether as he waits to cross the street to have lunch at La Scala in Beverly Hills. He’s chatting with a female friend and obliviously scratching his crotch at the same time. Even in his wildest days, his father Rod Stewart had good manners. Rehab wasn’t enough – Sean needs charm school too.

Rod Stewart is looking dapper, but very short, as he leaves Cipriani in London with his towering wife Penny Lancaster. Penny and Rod have a 3 year old son named Alastair and she’s been trying for more. Did you know Rod’s other kids, Kimberly, 29, Sean, 28, and Ruby, 21, also live with him at Rod’s LA home. And Rod’s 2 kids with Rachel Hunter – Renee, 16, and Liam, 14, stay two nights a week. That’s quite a houseful of dependant children – but Penny wants more!
