MENA SUVARI KNOWS GOOD THINGS COME IN SMALL PACKAGES

Mena Suvari, 33, is a fast worker. She was still in the throes of her second divorce when she took up with L.A. based tattoo artist Salvador Sanchez. They’ve been inseparable on both coasts for months, in spite of the fact that 5’4” Mena towers over the diminutive, but apparently macho Sanchez. (When she sees a camera, she often walks behind him so he’ll look bigger) Her last husband asked for generous alimony from her and after a legal battle they finally settled and no longer speak.

Mena Suvari (soon to be seen in “Brooklyn Rules”) shops at her favorite store Alice + Olivia on Robertson, almost every week so she doesn’t miss out on any new arrivals. She’s got a closetfull of their bubble dresses and babydoll dresses, and cashmere sweaters, but that’s not enough. She’s just gotta have their skinny pants in every color and their wide pants too. And best of all, she doesn’t get out of sorts when photographers take pictures of her through the window. Mena knows shopping should be FUN!

A Petal of Irony

In 2003 a disgusted looking Mena Suvari marched into the flower department at Whole Foods in West Hollywood carrying a bunch of wilted rose stems. She told the clerk “I bought these yesterday and this is what’s left. All the petals fell off!” Ironically it was her red rose petal scene in American Beauty, that made Mena famous. She rejected replacements and got a $39.98 credit slip for the two dozen dead flowers instead.
