What a disappointment! It looks like Jason Segal and Michelle Williams have broken up, after keeping company for a year. They were SUCH a cute and surprising couple. You could just imagine Jason thinking “How did I get so lucky?” And Michelle loved the way Jason and her little girl Matilda got along. According to US magazine the fact that Michelle and Matilda lived in Brooklyn and Jason filmed his TV series “How I Met Your Mother” in Los Angeles was the reason for the split- they couldn’t handle the long distance. It’s a shame.

They’re inseparable in both New York and Los Angeles. Michelle Williams and Jason Segal picked up Matilda at school and took her out for organic ice cream in Studio City. The threesome spent much of the summer together in New York. “How I Met Your Mother” star Jason has never looked better – he looks healthier and doesn’t dress so much like a sloppy bachelor any more.
We could tell that Jason Segal, 32, was crazy about Michelle Williams, 31, but now it’s very apparent that she is taking him quite seriously. Michelle doesn’t introduce her boyfriends to her 6 year old daughter Matilda (her father was Heath Ledger) until she’s sure about her relationship. Jason and Matilda hit it off like gangbusters. He makes her laugh as much as he does her mother. The three of them saw “Jersey Boys” together on Broadway and Jason took Matilda out for breakfast over the weekend.

It appears that Matilda Ledger doesn’t have an care in the world – she enjoys keeping company with her mother’s friends (pictured here) and also Spike Jonze, who’s the new man in Michelle’s life. Since he started dating the late Heath Ledgers former girlfriend Michelle Williams, Spike has made a point of getting to know Matilda. They even spend time together without mom. Both Michelle and Matilda seem happy now.
