After this summers events, we wouldn’t be surprised to hear that Scientology leader David Miscavige had jumped off the tallest Scientology building. His own niece, Jenna Miscavige Hill, has written a tell-all book about her life in the cult. Jenna’s parents left the organization when she was 16 and she wasn’t allowed to have contact with them. After six miserable years, SHE left also and reunited with her family. She promises a lot of new information about the “upper ranks” of Scientology. (More?) Meanwhile, David Miscavige and his flock are planning to retaliate against all their bad press by starting up 24 hour Scientology propaganda broadcasting from the KCET Studios they purchased in Hollywood (and aren’t paying taxes on) last year. Be careful, they might be recruiting YOU in the middle of the night!

SCIENTOLOGY IS FAR TOO WELCOME IN LOS ANGELES

Our suspicions are confirmed. The nations largest independent TV station, KCET, has sold their Hollywood studio lot to the “church” of Scientology. What’s horrible about this is the fact that the nearly five acre studio will no longer be paying taxes to the city or anyone else. Even worse are the plans that the cult has for the facility. They will use it to “deliver their message to the largest international audience possible.” We will be bombarded with Scientology TV shows, “informative” films, and internet content to further the creepy organization’s “purposes.” Governor Brown – can’t you so something about TAXING these people? GOVERNOR BROWN: IT’S TIME TO TAX SCIENTOLOGISTS

Ever since we heard that Scientology is planning to buy the landmark KCET studio lot in Hollywood on Sunset Blvd, we’ve been shuddering. This 100 year old lot was the home of Monogram Pictures and Allied Artists in its heyday. Our Governor Brown should be alarmed at the prospect of yet another 14 million dollar property OFF the tax rolls to benefit a corporation masquerading as a church. (Of course, we think ALL religious properties should be taxed.) Even more horrifying is the possibility of Scientology broadcasting nonstop– perhaps they will establish a 24 hour TV station for recruitment purposes. Another piece of Hollywood is gobbled up by the cult.
