Janet Jackson

WHY IS JANET JACKSON DRESSED LIKE AN OPERA SINGER?

You’d never guess by looking at her outfit that Janet Jackson is at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony. She couldn’t have been thinking about rock music when she got dressed, but it IS an honor to be included in the Hall of Fame. Ironically, she was invited to perform that evening but declined, we hear, because the event is set to air on HBO and we all know HBO was responsible for Leaving Neverland.

JANET JACKSON IS WEANING HERSELF AWAY FROM BURKAS

Janet Jackson had us worried when she was married to Wissam Al Mana and photographed draped in black from head to toe like a nun. Was she going to hide behind burkas for the rest of her life? Luckily, no, but she seems to have changed her style quite a bit. Janet used to love sexy fashion, but now she seems to have gotten into the habit of wearing more and bigger clothing. These gigantic pants are a good example of the “bigger” and the leather shirt with sleeves rolled up (in the summer) is “more.” She’s also sporting the very tight pulled-back hair popularized by Ariana Grande. Janet’s new music video “Made For Now” is debuting on MTV tomorrow.

JANET JACKSON CAME BACK TO US

We took one look at Janet Jackson dressed up and filming her new “Made For Now” video in Brooklyn, and fell in love all over again! At 52 she has pulled her waning career into a new fun direction. Her very cool outfit says it all. She has a brilliant team of creative people working with her now. When she married Wissam Al Mana, moved to London, and was seen in public wrapped in black burkas, we thought our Janet was gone forever. But she’s BACK – Janet is still on her State of the World Tour with surprising success.

RIHANNA NEEDS TO HAVE A TALK WITH JANET JACKSON

OK, we can’t help but compare Rihanna’s romance with Saudi billionaire Hassan Jameel with Janet Jackson’s relationship with Qatari billionaire Wissam Al Mana. Both American singers were swept off their feet by their guy’s sophisticated manners and generosity. Not to mention their good looks. Rihanna and Hassan have been together since before June, and she should keep in mind: dating these guys can really be fun, but marry at your own risk! Remember how Janet started wearing black burkas to please her husband’s Muslim religion? Janet’s brother said her husband became very controlling and she felt TRAPPED! The Muslim religion is NOT a friend to women. Rihanna is already wearing suspiciously dark and loose fitting clothing. Is she pregnant? For her sake, we hope not.

Above, Rihanna and Hassan left a Grammy party separately, for some reason

JANET JACKSON: TIME TO TRADE THAT BLACK SHROUD FOR A SUNDRESS!

Janet Jackson timed her State of the World Tour just right – she’s spending time between concerts in sunny Miami with her little boy Eissa al Mana, who’s almost a year old. She is NOT back together with her ex-boyfriend Jermaine Dupri as rumored – they are simply friends. It looks like Janet did convert to Islam because every time we see her she’s wearing black and is covered from head to toe IN MIAMI. Time to put that behind her…

JENNA DEWAN OWES HER CAREER TO JANET JACKSON

Jenna Dewan Tatum is having a balanced day with her daughter Everly. They visited a bookstore and then went to Party City to shop for Halloween costumes. Last week Jenna was thrilled to appear onstage with Janet Jackson at her Hollywood Bowl concert. Janet arranged a reunion for many of her previous backup dancers and Jenna says she owes her career to Janet. Touring with Janet was Jenna’s first big dance job and Janet introduced her to great connections for her future.

JANET JACKSON IS BACK AND IN CONTROL

Janet Jackson has NEVER liked going to crowded places with lots of paparazzi but she made an exception today because she DOES want to create excitement for her upcoming State of the World tour (and sell tickets too!) Janet and her 6 month old son Eissa Al Mana had lunch at The Ivy (which was probably the biggest paparazzi spot the last time she was in town.) She’s been living in London and despite claims that she’s moved back to LA, we doubt that her ex-husband would let her leave the UK permanently with their child. Janet is set to appear at the Hollywood Bowl on October 8 – tickets sell from $48.00 to $2300.00!

JANET JACKSON: THE WORLD’S OLDEST CELEBRITY MOTHER

She may be in the middle of a complicated divorce, but Janet Jackson, 50, has never looked happier. Janet’s estranged husband Wissam Al Mana has hired a large staff of nannies to care for their precious boy. Wissam wants the child to be brought up in his Arabic family tradition. (Does that mean no dancing?) THIS could be a problem. The culture clash between Wissam’s family and Janet’s American family is bound to widen as little Eissa grows up.

WHAT WILL JANET JACKSON DO WITH ALL THOSE BURKAS NOW?

Now that Janet Jackson and her billionaire husband Wissam Al Mana have split after only five years, her life is going to get a LOT more complicated. And her baby boy Eissa is only 3 months old! Apparently Janet, 50, and Wissam have mutually decided their marriage is not “working” and they hope to remain civil. (Considering their backgrounds it’s no surprise.) She has custody of their child. We wonder if she will leave her life in London and move back to California. We’re not sure if Janet converted to Islam, but she certainly has the wardrobe for it. On the other hand, if she gives up her burkas, she’ll have to watch her weight again. Let the concerts begin!

WHEN IT COMES TO “CONTROL,” JANET JACKSON HAS GIVEN UP

It’s fortunate that Janet Jackson’s baby turned out to be a boy. Her Qatari businessman husband Wissam Al Mana, 42, is happy to have a son named Eissa, to follow in his footsteps, while a girl would have had a decidedly inferior life. Qatar is second only to Saudi Arabia in their disgraceful treatment of women. If Janet had a little girl, the child would attend an all girls school, clad head to toe in a black shroud, and wouldn’t dare speak to a male. No parties or socialization with boys at all. Jobs are limited to dreary low-level government jobs, separate from men. Marriage is arranged. Who would want to bring a daughter into THAT world?
