Gianni Versace

We felt it was only fair to publish this cute photo of Donatella Versace at JFK because we have published some not–so-hot pics of her in the past. We were wondering why Donatella dropped her brother Gianni’s name from the company. Some bad blood? It’s a convoluted story that many Italians believe is accurate – supposedly, openly gay Gianni wanted an heir and arranged to have Donatella marry model Paul Beck, whom Gianni was rumored to have more than a casual interest in himself. Donatella had a boy and a girl before she divorced Beck in 2000, and Gianni adored the daughter Allegra and took her everywhere. Gianni disapproved of his sister’s cocaine-feuled party lifestyle. When he died, he left 50% of his company to 11 year old Allegra, 20% to Donatella, and 30% to his brother. Donatella went to rehab and has run the company successfully ever since. Very wealthy Allegra, 31, is fighting anorexia and works as a stylist in New York. A VERY interesting family, indeed.
