Jonathan Rhys Meyers looks happy enough shopping at The Grove with his girlfriend. When his TV series Dracula was cancelled he almost went off the deep end. Friends were worried because he’s been to rehab three times and was banned for life from flying on United Airlines for disruptive behavior. Luckily, not long after the Dracula debacle (and just when he thought his career was over) he was cast in the movie Stonewall and started filming just in time.

The cancellation of the sexy Victorian drama “Dracula” a few weeks ago was a huge blow to the show’s star Jonathan Rhys Meyers. Sources say the actor was really happy doing the NBC series and it was a painful shock when it wasn’t renewed. Meyers has wrestled with alcohol abuse problems in the past (he was banned for life from United Air Lines) and has been to rehab several times. Friends feared the worst when the cancellation caused him such despair that he was feeling like a failure. But he got lucky. Meyers just signed to appear in the gay rights movie Stonewall, which recently started filming.
