Delirious

DELIRIOUS IS MORE THAN WORTH THE PRICE OF ADMISSION

If you’re smart, you’ll bypass the multiplex this week and head straight for the nearest independent theater showing Delirious. It reminded us of the brilliance of Midnight Cowboy in terms of originality and character development. It’s obviously a smaller budget feature but packs a lot of humor and surprises into less than two hours. Steve Buscemi plays Les, a desperate paparazzi who befriends a homeless youth, Toby, portrayed by Michael Pitt. Their sordid lives are in dire contrast to the glittering celebrities the photographer stalks. Gena Gershon and her lips are compelling as a casting director who takes a shine to Toby, and Alison Lohman is fun as a mentally fragile popstar. It’s one of the best movies of the year – give it a glance. Afterward, you can thank us by telling your friends about this website!
