What a delicious surprise! A Simple Favor is a movie written BY women ABOUT women and the male director didn’t louse it up – he got it just right! It has everything a woman wants in a movie – gorgeous fashion and style, beautiful architecture and design, smart conversation, sophisticated humor, compelling but hilarious characters, and a PLOT! Blake Lively rises to the occasion – her impossibly glamorous and darkly sarcastic character is SO on the mark – and Anna Kendrick is perfectly cast as a supposedly “innocent” mommy vlogger. Of course, what’s NOT to love about the astute and very decorative Henry Golding. Never a dull moment in this movie – don’t want to say more – just see it right away!

Afterthought: No WONDER Blake Lively has been wearing all those fabulous power suits…

Blake Lively Bribe Fashion Met Gala Money

HOW MUCH FASHION PAYOLA ARE ACTRESSES GETTING TO WEAR GOWNS AT THE MET GALA?

The Met Gala is turning out to be a bigger fashion event that the Cannes Film Festival. We can’t even IMAGINE how much money is changing hands as major fashion houses, jewelry designers etc. BRIBE celebrities to wear their creations! Blake Lively is in big demand because she’s model height (5’10”) and makes the clothes look spectacular. Her Gala gown was gorgeous but obscenely expensive (it took over 600 hours to make!) Recently designers have ALSO been dressing celebrities for the after-parties! (Blake, above in her pricey after-party outfit) No WONDER so many celebrities wouldn’t think of missing the Met Gala – they’d be missing a huge pay check!

BLAKE LIVELY: THE NEXT LIAM NEESON?

Blake Lively has one of those faces that can assume a whole new identity just by adding a wig. She’s been filming her own action thriller, The Rhythm Section, in New York and her character has a number of “disguises.” She’s playing a women whose family is killed in a plane crash – on a flight that she was supposed to be on. Her distraught character learns it was an act of terrorism being covered up by the government and she is determined to find the truth. Hence the disguise. (Oh, and franchise is not out of the question.) It sure sounds like something Liam Neeson would have done…

BLAKE LIVELY: ALL I SEE ARE DOLLAR SIGNS

Blake Lively is dutifully promoting her new movie “All I See Is You” in all the right places in New York and it looks like she’s earning a bundle for each appearance. She’s been changing into one fabulous designer outfit after another – sometimes several in one day – while being handsomely paid by each designer to plug their creations. Not a bad deal – the 5’10” Blake is perfect for displaying expensive fashions. The movie is about a woman who was blinded in an accident years ago, and lives in Bangkok with her husband. A new surgery restores her sight in one eye and she goes through big changes – her husband is NOT happy.

RYAN REYNOLDS’ “ONCE IN A LIFETIME” HONOR

We love it when celebrities get a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame and they are obviously REALLY excited about it and grateful. Some actors downplay the honor and make it seem like they are doing us a favor by accepting the recognition. Ryan Reynolds could barely contain his happiness and he brought every family member he could corral. We knew he was REALLY excited because he included his two daughters in the event and he has always kept them undercover. He’s so protective that we don’t even know the name of the baby in his wife Blake Lively‘s arms yet! His 3 year old is named James.

BLAKE LIVELY KNOCKS ‘EM DEAD AT HER MOVIE PREMIER

There’s no doubt that Blake Lively looks like a real movie star. She arrived at the NY premier of her new movie “The Age of Adaline” in red leather and lace, reeking of glamour. Originally Katherine Heigl had the role but Blake ended up getting it. In the movie she plays a women who stops aging after an accident and stays 29 years old for eighty years. It’s a historical drama and she eventually falls in love and must decide if her man is worth giving up her immortality. We love movies about women!

Blake Lively looks flawless in retro clothing for scenes in her movie “Age of Adaline.” It’s a romantic drama about a woman born at the turn of the 20th century who has some kind of accident and stops aging. The story follows her search for love through many decades. We’re betting this will be an incredible historical fashion show through the years. Back in 2010, Katherine Heigl was supposed to play this part but it’s rumored she was fired. That girl is her own worst enemy.

THE OSCAR PISTORIUS MURDER CASE: MOVIES ARE IN THE WORKS

The Oscar Pistorius murder case is a long way from going to trial, but already scripts are being hurriedly written, and casting is in discussion. South African sports hero Oscar shot and killed his model girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp and claimed he thought she was an “intruder.” It’s been speculated that the baby-faced Oscar could be perfectly portrayed by equally boyish Ryan Gosling. And Charlize Theron has been suggested for the role of the beautiful but tragic Reeva, although we think a younger actress like Blake Lively would be more appropriate. It will be interesting to follow this case as it works it’s way through the legal system and more facts are revealed.

Blake Lively Paparazzi People Ryan Reynolds Weddings

BLAKE LIVELY AND RYAN REYNOLDS: PEOPLE MAGAZINE WAS NOT INVITED TO OUR WEDDING!

When Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively secretly married in South Carolina a few weeks ago we were very impressed that they pulled off the event without alerting press or press or photographers. It appeared that they actually planned and PAID FOR their own private wedding instead of selling out to a magazine. Truly romantic. That same week, we were disillusioned to see People magazine’s wedding cover bellow ”People Was There!” implying THEY were invited. It turns out they WEREN’T. People exaggerated the way “Life & Style” or “In Touch” usually does. According to Page Six, Blake’s reps said there was a sneaky photographer on a boat snapping pics, but the couple never sold their pictures to any weekly and certainly didn’t invite anyone from People to the wedding.
