Here’s a magazine we buy if it were at the newsstand today. BACHELOR was an early version of The Advocate – it was aimed at artistic and bold gay men and promoted “dandyism” (LOVE that!) and “athletic masculinity.” (Ho-hum.) Male celebrities who appeared on the cover were Tyrone Power, Cary Grant, and Buster Crabbe (Tarzan, Flash Gordon) in a swimsuit. Don’t know how long this magazine lasted but we’d give anything to see an entire issue.

This post doesn’t seem to be very accurate….what information is it based on and how many issues did you actually read?
It would not be gay enough for the rainbows of today.
